taking all necessary precautions such as presurgical bloodwork at a minimum, and in some cases radiographs + / - an EKG in high risk patients
to ensure that it was safe for them
to undergo anesthesia.
I recommend that you first lift the upper lips of your
pet to view the teeth and if unsure as
to what
to do,
then take your
pet in
to see your
veterinarian for a check - up, including a complete dental exam.
If your
pet is experiencing rapid and random weight loss, diarrhea that isn't remedied via diet modification, anemia, scratching of the anal opening, unexplained vomiting, severe bad breath that can't be cured by regular brushing, or severe coughing,
then it is recommended that you
take your
pet to a
veterinarian — it is a very real possibility that your
pet is experiencing some sort of parasitic invasion.
