about new titles, but most of them are as efficient in terms of
book promotion as it would be to hire thirty pogo sticks to transfer 200 people from Kings Cross to Brixton.

I don't know a single indie author who doesn't wish
there was a handbook out
there that was constantly kept up - to - date with information
about formatting, blurbs,
promotion, when to release your
books and pricing.
There's no doubt
about it, social media has revolutionized
book promotion.
There's a lot to learn
about book promotion, from getting news media publicity to hosting a
book contest, figuring out how to really sell on Amazon, using social media effectively, planning and leveraging virtual
book tours (author blog tours), and speaking to sell
books.
There are a lot of sites that let you list your
book for free (see our post

promotion you should be -LSB-...]
For every tip you learn
about book promotion,
there are a dozen more yet to learn.
Oh,
there are
promotions that work, like Bookbub, but they cost hundreds of dollars and they are very picky
about the
books they feature, especially those from indie - authors.

there might be a chance writers can once again return to their primary title as writers, period, and not have to worry (as much)
about promotion and schmoozing or wasting time chatting on Twitter when they ought to be writing their
book, not chatting with 14 - year - old Bieber - ites who don't have time or interest to read anything beyond 140 characters anyway.
