There are not
crazy camera angles or strange arcade play
modes.
There are some customization options within the multiplayer
modes that will cater to those that want to make the game a little
crazier for gatherings, such as items that will impede progress of your foes or different rule sets like last car standing (which disables pit stops and is more of a test of endurance rather than speed).
One of the things that always strikes me as
crazy in retrospect is that until something like March or April of 1997,
there wasn't a multiplayer
mode at all.
There are plenty of kick - ass shooters without co-op but given the core gameplay of how shooters are played and how big online gaming has become a co-op option in any shooter past or present would be a definite plus and like many reviews for KZ2 stated you already have teamates along for the ride through the whole campaign allowing one of them (or more) to be playable in co-op
mode doesn't change the story or how the game is played in anyway, except instead of AI controlled teamates you have your best bud along to shoot the bad guys with you, which is WHY shooters are the perfect genre for co-op, and its becoming more and more EXPECTED as a feature / option in shooters this gen. I remember when it was questionalbe reading requests for a certain game on a certain forum filled with Gamers request for co-op campaign; It was
crazy.
There's also a
crazy mode where you can do 5 vs 1 if one person if feeling particularly confident in their abilities.
There is also an infinite
mode for you to go high score
crazy in, if that is your thing.
Don't forget, though, that that is just one gameplay
mode available;
there are two entirely different
modes out
there that I haven't even touched upon: Motion
mode («action Mahjong,» complete with wild power - ups and
crazy - fast mechanics) and a level editor planned for building and sharing levels via PSN, along with a whole pile of pre-made levels from Yours Truly.
Will
there be new skins (obviously),
crazy game
modes (probably), or maybe something we haven't seen before?
I don't have any issue with the fact that Nintendo decided to add a Super Expert difficulty level to 100 Mario Challenge
mode, but
there is one glaring flaw that drives me
crazy.
Got this for my 12 year - old son for Christmas, and the gamer in me came back out to play as we spent hours in 2 - player
mode (
there's a girl character, which I of course loved), bashing monsters, chainsawing locusts and fighting our way through the
crazy awesomeness that is Gears of War 4.
Online
mode isn't perfect by any means though —
there is a bit of latency, and once things get
crazy on screen it's especially noticeable in some of the bigger fights.
Finally,
there's a full - featured Challenge
mode with more than 50
crazy challenge levels to explore!
It is light on story but with 12 levels in eight dynamic areas and 3 game
modes there are hours of
crazy fun with friends or go solo against the computer.
There's nothing like a deadline to put me into a full - blown
crazy - girl -
mode, but on the other hand, that
crazy girl actually gets stuff DONE!
