And while
there are attributes and
character traits to each of us that need to be sloughed off so that
other aspects can be raised up to their potential, I think that we sometimes get the two reversed so that we disown and discredit that which should be strengthened and honored, and we raise up and glorify those things we should let die.
There are two
other considerations that account for the
trait of the common
character.

there are so many awesome ways we can teach our kids about positive
character traits and
there are some amazing books, games, and
other fun resources that can help.
Each
character seems to have one very predictable personality
trait that slightly sets him or her apart from the rest, but aside from that,
there is nothing that really distinguishes these
characters from each
other.
There's Zubrella, for instance the jester who can't rhyme properly, a
trait which sometimes frustrates the
other characters, and Finn the cowardly mage who is looking to find his courage through adventure.
I would argue that
there are some aspects of Finn's story that occur a little too early for me to truly value their implications, but he provides a solid foundation as you encounter
other characters with more prominent personality
traits as you delve into a plot a lot larger than traversing a desert.
There are many
character traits which can be seen as bad in some contexts, but good in
others.
