blog for so many years,
there are tons of recipes that have gotten lost in the archives (until I [a] finish with boards and get on self - hosting this
blog, and [b] figure out a good
way to archive my recipes / have an awesome recipe index).
I've been cooking my
way through your books and
blog for the past 9 months, and then randomly watched forks over knives last night, started obsessing about how much oil I cook with, thought about how much investment
there is in oil in my cupboard (it's like Texas in
there), went on amazon
to look at their cookbook, and who, but who, is one of the contributors?
Where
there's a will,
there's a
way, and if you follow our
blog, you know that we will always find a
way to recreate our old favorites.
I know that following vegan
blogs had helped me learn that
there is another
way to bake and though I am still learning it, I find it really exciting!
While
there's a permanence
to blogs — content lives out
there unless deleted — one post is replaced by another and then another in a fleeting
way, almost like a journal entry that gets buried deeper and deeper into a collection of notebooks that the keeper fills and collects just in case
there might be a time, somewhere down the road, when she might want

A big part of my motivation for writing this
