thing about book trailers is they only have to feature the book (as I look horrible on video, too).

It's really that every comic -
book movie becomes part of the endless cycle of long - lead trickle publicity: the announcement of the filmmaker; casting rumors; casting confirmations; first look at costume designs; first set photos; rumors
about plot elements; confirmations of plot elements; first teaser
trailer; etc. etc. so that by the time the movie itself actually appears we are sick to death of the
thing.
Put the
book trailer up on the novel's homepage, request that the
trailer be included in any author interviews or articles written
about the
book, hold a viewing party, tweet regularly, the possibilities for getting the
thing seen are endless.
It was followed by a series of humorous
book trailers called The Pig Diaries, in which the pig is ignorant
about all
things MEAT.
