If there's one
thing I know
about Easter, it's that
carrot cake is frequently an honorary guest around the table.
One little
thing (and no, I don't care
about typos), you say to grate the
carrots but they look shredded to me.

about making these into
carrot cake muffins, but then the angel sitting on my shoulder, who loves all
things dessert, took over.

Another great
thing about roasting vegetables is that it literally takes no time to prep them especially if you buy gourmet
carrots.
One of the
things I love
about the Fresh Prep Slicer / Shredder Attachment is that you can place smaller
carrots in the small Feed Tube and they'll stay upright, which is brilliant.
I've got a
thing about fresh
carrots at the moment... my favourite is
carrot, sultana, peanut and mayo salad... something
about the mix of sweet and salty...
Ok, holy
carrots... these are vegan, gluten free whoopie pies from The Piping Gourmets and just
about the tastiest darn
things I've ever put in my mouth!!
and my second favorite
thing about this hotdogs is that you can prepare them the night ahead, you just need to pour all the ingredients needed for the sauce, add the
carrots and you are done.
As with many of my favourite recipe creations, this vegan
carrot salad came
about because I refuse to let anything go to waste and I like to keep
things speedy in the kitchen!
And now that I have a food processor,
things like
carrot cake and zucchini bread are so much easier to make — grating takes
about two seconds!
sad but true, it is all extremely competitive (hence all the references to it in online situations in the comments above) and i try to absent myself from those kinds of situations / friendships / occasions whenever possible (including stepping away from certain blogs, especially those which debate the merits of washing the white stuff off washed organic
carrots) btw to me your post came out as a long - drawn out whine apology
about being judged as judging - one
thing i learned in presenting my work was to never apologise for it, period.
I wouldn't pack snack packs of baby
carrots (can make»em myself) BUT, when out and
about in the city and have a kid BEGGING for a snack, I would love it if when popping into a Deli or Bodega I could grab an already washed, eat straight from the bag, baby
carrot thing!
Think
about including
things like fresh fruit in a bowl on the counter or table or designate a drawer or basket in the refrigerator that might have
things like individual servings sizes of applesauce,
carrots, celery or cheese sticks.
However, I am reminded of our conversations
about birthday cupcakes, sneaking
carrots in smoothies, and a few others where you've insisted on creating a «kid - friendly» version of life that bears no resemblance to the real

about it and I can NOT stand the way that it smells.
The great
thing about these pancake muffins is they are perfect for lazy chicks, so if you don't have bananas and / or raisins, use blueberries and strawberries, chopped
carrots and apples, or pecans and walnuts.
And of course the veg, possibly the best best
thing about this recipe, halve some potatoes,
carrots, onions and garlic bulbs, toss with olive oil, salt, pepper and herbs and put in the bottom of the tray.
