Thanks for sharing this, I think a lot of gentle / respectful parenting advice doesn't cover this, we often have the exact same
thing around bedtime!

The only
thing I feel really confident in is the going - to - bed - routine... he has always fallen asleep earlier, his
bedtime is usually
around 6:30 pm and he goes down like a champ and is usually out for 4 or 5 hours... his waketime in the morning is also
around 6:30 am - 7 am... where should I go from there?
I will say that by the time he got to
around 3 months old
things got a pretty difficult with the daytime nap situation; he just wouldn't sleep enough during the day, and it caused him to be very cranky from the late afternoon until
bedtime.
To ease the transition to
bedtime, turn off or put away electronics and keep
things quiet
around bedtime.
