Keep in mind that a Whole Food Plant Based Diet is not the same
thing as a Vegan or Vegetarian diet.

thing as vegan food because as soon as someone swallows a plant it is mixed with digestive juices.

things (being vegetarian since 1990, I support veganism, but not
as a dominant part of my identity).
You are still deciding which life you can eat and which life to spare, so it is not a morality

vegan thing as it took me several years to achieve being
vegan.
I don't like classifying myself
as any particular
thing as I find it's restrictive, yes almost all of what I eat is technically
vegan and gluten free, but I don't like being defined
as a certain
thing because I don't want to feel like I'm «failing» because I add honey to my rye bread or eat a barley salad because it's the healthiest

vegan, encouraging me to try new
things that are good for me.
But the
thing is, it's also very versatile and cozy
vegan recipes don't have to be limited to a warm bowl of soup (
as satisfying
as it is) when you have your broth ready to go.
I have always had this
thing for cheesecakes, especially in summer, and you've got many cheesecake recipes on the blog, like the honey lavender cheesecake, the salted caramel apple cheesecake, or other
vegan, gluten and lactose free versions such

It's great I have co-workers I can discuss these
things with and it has given me a lot to think about, especially when it comes to veganism and the way I

vegan consume products.
I tried this today, changing some
things (
as always): I put 1 more banana and no applesauce, and I didn't put
vegan butter beacuse I try to avoid wastes and oil.
Ive seen this method called for (especially in lots of classical European cuisines, think Julia Child's Bourgignon, which I've adapted to a
vegan diet on numerous occasions, and Italian recipes for
things like Ratatouille) but never bought into it, seeing it
as extra unnecessary work... But now Ive see the light!
It's a tad underpopulated; I tend to not file salads and
things that are almost always vegetarian or
vegan as such, because it's a given, but can change this if you all disagree.
What really sucks is that most commercial
vegan «cheeses» that we turn to in lieu of the real
thing are pretty much junk food, just
as bad for your health
as dairy.
These nine veg - heavy (and in some cases,

as close to perfect
as we've found, and they're all
as satisfying to sink your teeth into
as the real
thing.
