thing about being spiritual is
believing in something higher than yourself without being tied to some arbitrarily specific moral code created by people (not God (s)-RRB-

Context: Last night I was shooting the breeze with my roommates when one of them brought up religion and how it was a «good
thing to grow up with religion because it gives children something to
believe in», when I countered that there are many different
things children can
believe in growing up without having to resort to something like religion, I basically had to sit there for 10 minutes about how atheism ruins lives because it makes everyone apathetic and despondent.
When you
believe the promise of Christ as found
in the
context of the gospel of John, you are
believing in the God - Man, who died and rose again, whether you are aware of these
things or not.

believe to be true, assuming most people live their own lives according to what they

contexts and that children need direct instruction

The other is much more devious especially
in the
context of parental alienation, where young minds are malleable and can be made to
believe anything — even
things that never happened (gaslighting).
