thing about last season is that we finally got a WC goalkeeper, sadly just Adelaide and no more

as for a comment on the
last post someone mentioned
about josh kronke supposedly talking with wenger after everton (could have been spelling out what he / daddy demands for this
season and beyond) i have got a funny feeling that the young fella is getting more involved in the footballing side of
things than his dad as he more invoked in that side of
thing in the american teams they own.
you said the same
thing after this event in 2014... and again in 2015... then
last year we did nt actually win anything but we added xhaka so lets get behind the team like wat a «true» fan does... unlike others on this site who do nt really know anything
about footie like me even though ive been wrong
about our chances for the
last 10
seasons it do nt matter coz i'm a real fan and wenger is a great bloke who knows
about footie whereas all these negative fans do nt know nuffin... its like listening to some demented uncle every xmas droning on
about how
things were better in the old days when everyone knew their place....
But the one
thing I will never understand is why some people refuse to believe this, it seems to me as if most people on this site may genuinely have «Stockholm syndrome», because the fact that you say «in Arsene we trust» despite the fact that the
last 6 six
seasons (I'm talking
about the premier league only) have been a complete and utter catastrophe and in which he has done nothing but; completely ignore fans frustrations; fail to address squad needs on numerous occasions; ignored the advice from other footballing experts, and yet you still want him in a job.

Good article states many reasonable conclusions and facts
about the
season and how amongst all the turmoil we have a manger who does well but one
thing in purchases over the
last five years we are 6th in the epl were at 366m tottenham in 5th with 397m and he made a mistake there we are 6thin money spent on players but we have had the sanchez saga and new players adjusting to epl and the team and injuries and it definitely hasnt been our year in ref decisions which have played a factor in games though we still should have won aside from ref but watford and westbrom many other games are included at city free offside goal weak penalty and at spurs we were robbed of going one nil up auba onside bu honestly the officiating across the whole league this year has been an embarrassment to professional officials of all sports its been bad game after game they need to get some rigorous training this offseason for improvement
i was shot down
about klopp - cos of his
last season... everyone suddenly forgetting his recent achievements... i stand by what i said then he is the best team manager in this league the difference is wenger does everything - alot more
things than klopp, klopp covers less bases but the bases he does cover he tends to excel in
This is the kind of article that highlights exactly what is wrong with this club as a whole... so the question you're asking is what option would be less shitty... after the firestorm surrounding Wenger's contract
last season, which somehow led to his highly questionable re-upping for 2 more years,
things needed to dramatically change or the inevitable same old, same old was bound to occur... as of right now the bare minimum has occurred... we knew
about Sead long before Wenger's renewal so that can't be considered a part of the «new world order»... so the only real changes are Lehman coming into the coaching staff, which could be positive but he's always been a Wenger lackey so the jury is still out, and the acquisition of Lacazette, who I really like as a player but I question the reasoning behind his signing
Yes, they are favorites, no doubt
about but there's one
thing every gooner feels after
last season games: we are not afraid anymore playing the so called big 4.
to be a true gunners is not to take side with the clubs when
things are wrong many areas need to be address in arsenal fc, those clubs that are above us in the table
last season are making signing but we are here beating
about the bush, today is lemar, tomorrow is seri.if Chelsea can let go matic, why are we keeping players like Ramsey in the squad, if Campbell is not good enough for us what's Walcott doing in the squad for past ten years....

last season (u know this
thing about favouritism at Arsenal: the sacred lambs).
Gary Neville was not specifically talking
about Arsenal and the situation that Arsene Wenger and the players find themselves in this

last night.
«I think the most important
thing is to get the fans in full voice because if we get that it's a great place — people tell me
about Chelsea
last season when there was an incredible atmosphere — but what we do on the pitch will make that happen.
You would've been saying the same
things about Bellerin and Coquelin start of
last season so forgive me if i'm skeptical...
Bitter why would i be bitter?im just not convinced by Wenger an the way he does
things, ti notice how your comment was all waffle no facts, how come you didn't talk
about Coquelin, a player i've been saying since
last season wud do a much better job than Arteta.ow come Wenger didn't see it?Most honest fans know Arteta isn't good enough how come Wenger can't see that?Whats ur explanation? My point is Wengers so far gone he can't spot
things we can
players like Ozil always present the fans with a bit of a conundrum, especially when times are tough... if you look around the sporting world every once in awhile there emerges a player with incredible skill, like Ozil, Matt Sundin or even Jay Cutler, who have a different way
about themselves... their movement seemed almost too lackadaisical, so much so that it seemed to suggest indifference or even disinterest on the part of the player... their posture always appears somewhat mopey and they generally have an unflattering «sour puss» expression on their face... for some their above average skills are enough to keep them squarely in the mix, as their respective teams try desperately to find a way to get the best out of them visa vie player acquisitions or the reworking of tactics... when
things go according to planned the fans usually find a way to accept their unique disposition, whereas when
things go awry they become easy targets for fans and pundits alike... in the case of Ozil and Sundin, their successes on the international stage and / or with their former teams led many to conclude that if we surrounded such talented individuals with players that have those skills that would most likely bring the best of these players success would surely follow... unfortunately both the Maple Leafs and our club chose to adopt half - measures, as each were being run by corporations who valued profitability over providing the best possible product on the field... for them, they cared more
about shirt sales and
season tickets than doing whatever was necessary... this isn't, by any stretch, an attempt to absolve Ozil of any responsibility for his failures on the pitch... there is no doubt oftentimes his efforts were underwhelming, to say the least, but this club has been inept when it comes to providing this prolific passer with the kind of players necessary for him to flourish... with our poor man's version of Benzema up front, the headless chickens in Walcott, the younger Ox and Welbeck occupying wide positions far too often and the fact that Carzola, who provided Ozil with great service and more freedom to roam, was never truly replaced, the only real skilled outlet on the pitch was Sanchez... remember to be considered a world - class set - up man goals need to be scored and for much of his time here he has been surrounded by some incredibly inept finishers... in the end, I'm not sure how long he will be in North London, recent sentiments and his present contract situation seem to suggest that he will depart at
season's end, but how tragic would it be if once again we didn't put our best foot forward and failed to make those moves that could have brought championship football back to our once beloved club... so when you think
about this uniquely skilled player don't be so quick to shift all the blame on his shoulders because he will not be the first or the
last highly skilled player to find disappointment at the Emirates if we don't rid the club of those individuals that are truly to blame for our current woes
I have to say that one of the most frustrating
things to me
about Richt's
last few years at UGA was how it always seemed to take
about half the
season to get the offensive line settled.
INDIANAPOLIS — Over the
last two
seasons, these
things have stuck out
about Tennessee's football program: general disappointment, fans wanting the Volunteers to hire Jon Gruden, and a star running back emerging while everything crumbled around him.
Even though he was doing brilliant
things for Arsenal in the second half of
last season, after the injury problems to Mathieu Flamini and Mikel Arteta forced Arsene Wenger to cut short his loan spell with Charlton, there were still a lot of doubts
about the French midfielder Francis Coquelin.
General fans were asked who they would pick for PL team of the year so far and we had 5 of our players in the team and deservingly so considering we've been the most consistent team since
last January, nobody said a
thing about Chelsea having 7 of theirs in the team
lasts season but somehow the world is ending when Arsenal have their own.
Picture this, we don't come out of the gate firing on all cylinders, Wenger speaks of how there wasn't enough time for the first - teamers to build chemistry, several key players aren't even playing because of Wenger's utterly ridiculous policy regarding players who played in the Confed Cup or the under21s and the boo - birds have returned in full flight... if these
things were to happen, which is quite possible considering the Groundhog Day mentality of this club, how long do you think it will take for Wenger to recant his earlier statements regarding Europa... I would suggest that it's these sorts of comments from Wenger which are often his undoing... why would any manager worth his weight in salt make such a definitive statement before the
season has even started... why would any manager who fashions himself an educated man make such pronouncements before even knowing what his starting 11 will be come Friday, let alone on September 1st... why would any manager who has a tenuous relationship with a great many supporters offer up such a potentially contentious talking point considering how many times his own words have come back to bite him in the ass... I think he does this because he doesn't care what you or I think, in fact he's more than slightly infuriated by the very idea of having to answer to the likes of you and me... that might have been acceptable during his formative years in charge, when the fans were rewarded with an scintillating brand of football and success felt like a forgone conclusion, but this new Wenger led team barely resembles that team of ore... whereas in times past we relished a few words from our seemingly cerebral manager, in recent times those words have been replaced by a myriad of excuses, a plethora of infuriating stories
about who he could have signed but didn't and what can only be construed as outright fabrications... it's kind of funny that when we want some answers, like during the whole contract debacle of
last season, we can't get an intelligent word out of him, but when we just what him to show his managerial acumen through his actions, we can't seem to get him to shut - up... I beg you to prove me wrong Arsene
Time for some brutal honesty... this team, as it stands, is in no better position to compete next
season than they were 12 months ago, minus the fact that some fans have been easily snowed by the acquisition of Lacazette, the free transfer LB and the release of Sanogo... if you look at the facts carefully you will see a team that still has far more questions than answers... to better show what I mean by this statement I will briefly discuss the current state of affairs on a position - by - position basis... in goal we have 4 potential candidates, but in reality we have only 1 option with any real future and somehow he's the only one we have actively tried to get rid of for years because he and his father were a little too involved on social media and he got caught smoking (funny how people still defend Wiltshire under the same and far worse circumstances)... you would think we would want to keep any goaltender that Juventus had interest in, as they seem to have a pretty good history when it comes to that position... as far as the defenders on our current roster there are only a few individuals whom have the skill and / or youth worthy of our time and / or investment, as such we should get rid of anyone who doesn't meet those simple requirements, which means we should get rid of DeBouchy, Gibbs, Gabriel, Mertz and loan out Chambers to see if
last seasons foray with Middlesborough was an anomaly or a prediction of
things to come... some fans have lamented wildly
about the return of Mertz to the starting lineup due to his FA Cup performance but these sort of pie in the sky meanderings are indicative of what's wrong with this club and it's wishy - washy fan - base... in addition to these moves the club should aggressively pursue the acquisition of dominant and mobile CB to stabilize an all too fragile defensive group that has self - destructed on numerous occasions over the past 5
seasons... moving forward and building on our need to re-establish our once dominant presence throughout the middle of the park we need to target a CDM then do whatever it takes to get that player into the fold without any of the usual nickel and diming we have become famous for (this kind of ruthless haggling has cost us numerous special players and certainly can't help make the player in question feel good
about the way their future potential employer feels
about them)... in order for us to become dominant again we need to be strong up the middle again from Goalkeeper to CB to DM to ACM to striker, like we did in our most glorious years before and during Wenger's reign... with this in mind, if we want Ozil to be that dominant attacking midfielder we can't keep leaving him exposed to constant ridicule
about his lack of defensive prowess and provide him with the proper players in the final third... he was never a good defensive player in Real or with the German National squad and they certainly didn't suffer as a result of his presence on the pitch... as for the rest of the midfield the blame falls squarely in the hands of Wenger and Gazidis, the fact that Ramsey, Ox, Sanchez and even Ozil were allowed to regularly start when none of the aforementioned had more than a year left under contract is criminal for a club of this size and financial might... the fact that we could find money for Walcott and Xhaka, who weren't even guaranteed starters, means that our whole business model needs a complete overhaul... for me it's time to get rid of some serious deadweight, even if it means selling them below what you believe their market value is just to simply right this ship and change the stagnant culture that currently exists... this means saying goodbye to Wiltshire, Elneny, Carzola, Walcott and Ramsey... everyone, minus Elneny, have spent just as much time on the training table as on the field of play, which would be manageable if they weren't so inconsistent from a performance standpoint (excluding Carzola, who is like the recent version of Rosicky — too bad, both will be deeply missed)... in their places we need to bring in some proven performers with no history of injuries... up front, although I do like the possibilities that a player like Lacazette presents, the fact that we had to wait so many years to acquire some true quality at the striker position falls once again squarely at the feet of Wenger... this issue highlights the ultimate scam being perpetrated by this club since the arrival of Kroenke: pretend your a small market club when it comes to making purchases but milk your fans like a big market club when it comes to ticket prices and merchandising... I believe the reason why Wenger hasn't pursued someone of Henry's quality, minus a fairly inexpensive RVP, was that he knew that they would demand players of a similar ilk to be brought on board and that wasn't possible when the business model was that of a «selling» club... does it really make sense that we could only make a cheeky bid for Suarez, or that we couldn't get Higuain over the line when he was being offered up for half the price he eventually went to Juve for, or that we've only paid any interest to strikers who were clearly not going to press their current teams to let them go to Arsenal like Benzema or Cavani... just part of the facade that finally came crashing down when Sanchez finally called their bluff... the fact remains that no one wants to win more than Sanchez, including Wenger, and although I don't agree with everything that he has done off the field, I would much rather have Alexis front and center than a manager who has clearly bought into the Kroenke model in large part due to the fact that his enormous ego suggests that only he could accomplish great
things without breaking the bank... unfortunately that isn't possible anymore as the game has changed quite dramatically in the
last 15 years, which has left a largely complacent and complicit Wenger on the outside looking in... so don't blame those players who demanded more and were left wanting... don't blame those fans who have tried desperately to raise awareness for several years when cracks began to appear... place the blame at the feet of those who were well aware all along of the potential pitfalls of just such a plan but continued to follow it even when it was no longer a financial necessity, like it ever really was...
If I am right
about things then Arsenal fans will have to accept that the hoped for transfer of the talented young France international wide star Thomas Lemar will not be signing for the Gunners this summer, as his current club Monaco have already sold a few of their title winning team of
last season and made a massive wedge of cash into the bargain.
Quality is not all
about goals or stats you know.If it was a lot of Arsenal players would have been sold and many players would not even be regarded.People need to look at the bigger picture. He scored 16 goals
last two
season as the starting CF.You and I know that based on the chances he gets he should've been doing better. The guy is not even a clinical player from what we watch yet people will always deny that fact. The only case people make up for Giroud is his goals. They can't even talk
about his quality on the ball and others because it's non existent. He was part of the reason why Arsenal couldn't win the trophy in 15/16
season. It's a shame we are compromising and refuse to state
things the way they are.Even if Giroud scores 40 goals in the EPL qualoty wise he's still average.
Wasn't there a time when we buy three players for combine fees of
about 30 mill, yet
last season we spent
about 100 mills and we even got lacazette for 50miill now.come on mate,
things are changing, so I beleive more players are comming regardless of sanchez situation.besides we spent 50m so far.
In an interview reported by Arsenal.com the Frenchman was asked
about various
things from
last season and
about which players excelled and he picked out the two central midfielders Francis Coquelin and Santi Cazorla, the players that Jack and Aaron are up against for a place in the starting XI.
I don't remember Bvb fans whining
about Kloop
last season when
things were not going well, so lets take a page outta their book and get behind the team, we all know Arsenal is enigmatic, I won't be surprised if we beat Barca!
It's the fans that keep sacrificing because this team can't get their head out of their own ass... please give me some examples when a top club ever let their best player leave for free at the end of a
season... Wenger needs to go to PSG and get some money and talent for Sanchez so that we can end this nonsense once and for all... then he needs to publicly apologize for the way in which they handled the whole situation... if they allow Sanchez to go for free there is no way this club, under the tutelage of Kroenke and Wenger, will ever layout the necessary coin to replace such a talented player, especially considering that Wenger will be a lame - duck manager once again in the final year of his contract and we know how well that went
last year... open your eyes people, Wenger has spoken publicly
about how he hopes that the next manager can take this club to the next level... WHAT?!?... he then went on to speak
about leaving them in the perfect position to be successful, which is one of the reasons why several pundits felt Wenger would leave after
last season based on the financials and the fact that so many players had only one year left on their respective contracts... who says this shit??? If you believe you're leaving
things in the best possible shape for your potential successor to achieve greatness it raises a couple of serious questions: Why can't you take
things to the next level if everything is as great as you say?
He referred to other recent failures like Monaco in the
last 16
last season and the Premier League opener with West Ham and he gave a theory
about why these
things keep happening.
NY - Gunner I am a realist I have an understanding of business, finances, and long time ago a little time in owning, managing, and playing in a non professional fotball club / legue, untill recently I was a strong suporter of AW and the business model of Arsenal FC but
last couple of
seasons I don't like what I see and it goes against everything what a competitive football club is all
about, personally I have nothing against AW but a lot of fond memories but all good
things come to an end, knowing when your time is up is a true professional I just hope AW knows what his doing.
the strange
thing about that was he was the one player that seemed to benefit most from the formation change
last season but arsenal sold him.
Its nice to see some people have open there eyes but all is true lets ask our selves have this team change from
last season where are the experienced players that wenger talked
about he selling us bull and every
season he gets away with it the fans deserve better am from the caribbean so chance r i might never get to see arsenal live at the emirates because its too expensive at least the club should be winning
things i know its important to balance the books you must BUT football is
about trophies as well and thats were the balance lies how the hell can we go Six (6)
seasons yes 6 without a trophy not even a FA cup or carling cup and no one says a word
about the manager that is rubbish Arsenal live in the past too much the time is now this
season for me is the absolute
last for wenger to win something i do nt care how much money he has made the club and Wenger if you cant bring that then go work for an oil company and make them money and leave arsenal to a manager who is willing to win something not only buy players for 10 million who take 10 years to develop am frustrated with this man.
Guys why are we comparing arsenal to barca i love arsenal it my club but i must be realistic barca is lite years infront of us look at the champions league
last year no match they have won the champions league twice in the
last five years and the
last one with kids just like arsenal so its not
about how young players are because if your good enough your old enough and am afraid the arsenal youngsters walcott, deneilson, nasri, diaby, bendtner, even the great vanpercy who all arsenal fans rate who as i mentioned before (Has not scored a free kick in god knows how long) world class right these players so far have not been good enoughso do nt blame injuries too much do nt blame refs look at the way arsenal do
things something is wrong here is a prime example eboue joined arsenal in the 2004/2005
season to date now tell me that a long time right would you say he is a much better player than when he arrived i think no he has improved but only very little and thats the point football is a short business at a big club you spend three
seasons for the most and then you must perform.
Ok people, lets try to reply with less emotion... Just because you like a certain team, doesn't necessarily mean that everything your team does or every kit they have is the greatest
thing since sliced bread... I love Chelsea like a shark loves blood, not to mention, i love Adidas products equally as passionate... But even i can admit that i hated their kit
last season... You should answer truthfully
about how you feel
about a kit and move on... Stop trying to stick it to the next person that gives an opinion...
The most positive
thing about last night's performance was our not having the defensive melt - down after Milan scored that I feared might recur as it so often has this
season.
every year he is injured for me this should be wenger's
last season he has no excuses now the team is matured and rested even the share holders are selfish by wanting only money and forget
about the fans but don't worry these
things have a way of working themselves out America has ablack president so you never know.....
One man who has had some
things to say
about Arsenal's chances of winning the Champions League this
season is
last weekend's hat - trick hero, Emmanuel Adebayor.
While it's hard to say what Watford boss Marco Silva will be looking to do when the Reds roll in to town, the Portuguese tactician got one over on the Reds
last season while in charge of Hull City so it's safe to say he knows a
thing or two
about getting a result.
@ larryking listen jock wenger could never coach anyother club because no big club would go six
season without a trophy there is no way wenger could go to madrid and go two
season without a trophy no way in hell he would be fired in no time bmunich fired klinsman less than half
season look at the real madrid coach grave yard pelligrinie made 95 + points
last season that amount would win the league in almost any country yet he got fired i can go on if fergi goes two
seasons without a trophy am sure he gone i love arsenal but football is
about winning trophies wenger has hypnotize you i do nt care arsenal have gone five years without a trophy and six witout the league not even a carling cup or fa cup and loosing all our best players all for money all this talk
about wenger and his youth policies i can count on both hands all the players that came through arsenal youth system that went on to be world beaters look at the current crop walcott nasri diaby denilson bedtner clichy none of these are world class they have improve minimal @ arsenal compare that to barca their youths pedro and co are world beaters event the great vanpercy who we rate he would never leave arsenal because all that chance wenger gives him he would» t get at other big clubs this does not make sense we buy young players they take ages to develop most do nt» t then we sell them or they leave because they want to win
things that how you grow pretty soon that top four will become very hard to stay in if we get out of that then what i wish all you wenger fans luck am all out of patients with him
last chance this year................
