and doing fall - ish
things with my family —
apple picking
and pumpkin picking, watching the hounds at one of the local farms, or playing on the playground while bundled in sweatshirts.
We had a very hot summer here in Michigan
and I'm looking forward to cooler temps
and all
things pumpkin and apple!
I am right there with you on the
pumpkin thing — I like it in small doses, but
apples, pears
and cranberries?
I also prefer
apple over
pumpkin,
and I prefer cheesecake over most other
things.
I'm so glad that
things like
apple and pumpkin butter don't actually have butter, so I can eat half a jar without feeling guilty.
I'm looking forward to fall leaves,
pumpkins (
and all the
things that can be made with
pumpkins),
apple picking,
and cider donuts.
I am pumped for a season of all
things pumpkin and apple flavored!

and what I consider two of the ultimate Thanksgiving desserts, a Cheesecake - Marbled
Pumpkin Gingersnap Tart
and the Deepest Dish
Apple Pie you've ever seen).
I can't wait for slightly cooler weather, the long yellow rays of autumn light, tours of
apple orchards,
and things like
pumpkins, pears
and roasted root vegetables.
First
thing first, I started this morning with a piping bowl of
pumpkin oats topped with almond butter
and apple butter.
Smelling
apples,
pumpkin and cinnamon are one of my favorite
things while baking.
Erin made a chocolate cream pie with whipped peanut butter cream,
and I think it would make a welcome break from
pumpkin,
apple,
and cinnamon - spiced
things at TGives!
We tried sooo many
things, you guys: a pear
and chocolate crumble, a butternut squash
and dark chocolate galette, an
apple rosette tart like this super-easy looking one on Pinterest, a
pumpkin cheesecake using only Greek yogurt.
Just wondering one
thing though, when you add the
apple sauce
and pumpkin to the cocoa mix, the water that was once hot in turns cold.
Which means all
things pumpkin and apple cider are starting to slowly make their appearance, along with the stunning
and incomparably vibrant foliage.
Everywhere I look online I am bombarded with one of two
things;
apples and pumpkins.

With fall right around the corner, I have been craving fall flavors like
apples and cinnamon; I'm not quite ready to embrace all the
pumpkin things yet, but I'm sure that's coming as well.
There are lots of
things to look forward to — the crunch of dry leaves, the comfort of your favorite sweater,

and, of course, the start of the new school year!

Typically, I make all of the
apple and pumpkin things all season long, but today, I've got something just a little different for you... with a
pumpkin spin.
Perfect weather, changing leaves,
pumpkin carving, sweater season,
apple cider,
and pumpkin bread are a few of my favorite
things about fall.
This definitely goes along with the whole
apple orchard
thing but I love to bake
and fall is the perfect time considering lots of my favorites like
apples and pumpkins are in peak season.
Along with scarves
and boots, which are my go - to pieces for the fall months, I can't help but think of red
and orange leaves,
apple cider
and all
things pumpkin.
I'm looking forward to fall leaves,

There are a lot of
things folks love the fall here but some of the biggest are
apple picking,
pumpkin carving, boots, scarves,
and, oh yeah, how can I forget those
pumpkin lattes at Starbucks?
Pumpkin spice lattes, hayrides, a new wardrobe with jackets, Halloween parties, trips to the farm for
apples and gourds... these are all
things that make me love the fall.
I can't even
thing about fall dinner when all that is on my mind is
pumpkin spice coffee
and apple cider donuts.
I love fall so
things with
apple,
pumpkin,
and / or squash.
These need to happen before we dive into all
things pumpkin and apples!
My favorite
thing about fall is
pumpkin and apple picking.
Sooo, with fall comes all the most amazing
things in the world: PSL, warm comfort food, fall baking,
pumpkin everything, freshly fallen leaves, Thanksgiving AKA the best holiday / food ever,
pumpkins, CANDY CORN, caramel
apples,
apple cider,
APPLE CIDER DONUTS,
apple - anything no more sweating, chunky sweaters (to hide all the overeating of amazing food), dark lipstick, he list goes on
and on
and on because basically Fall is the best season ever.

and I have a list of
things we want to do, possibly
apple picking, finding some white
pumpkins, going on a hike, now we shall see how much we can actually squeeze in.
I'm a candle - aholic (thanks to three years spent working at a Bath
and Body Works),
and there are few
things that relax me more than the delicious smell of cinnamon,
apples, or
pumpkin in the air.
There are many
things to love about fall: gorgeous foliage, cooler temperatures, boots
and scarves,
apple and pumpkin treats, holidays,
and new beers.
I'm looking forward to fall layers, jackets, scarves, warm drinks,
pumpkin and apple picking, fall baking, slow weekends,
and all the other amazing
things that come with this season.
Visiting the
pumpkin patch,
apple picking, carving
pumpkins and baking sweets... these are all
things that OTHER families do for fun in the fall.
I am already planning all the festive fall
things I would like to make —
apple butter,
pumpkin butter,
pumpkin ice cream,
pumpkin vegetable lasagna,
pumpkin granola,
apple cider martinis / sangria,
pumpkin gnocchi or ravioli or
pumpkin mac
and cheese, stew, soup + grilled cheese, on
and on
and on.
Apple cider
and pumpkin bread are some of the
things I look forward to most when Fall arrives.
And, I love
pumpkin butter (all
things pumpkin actually), I love
apple butter too!
