(As an aside, the week ended with a
Cabinet nomination collapsing when it was alleged that, among other
things, the nominee, a chief White House doctor nicknamed «the Candyman,» had handed
out prescription drugs with abandon, including, on at least one occasion, an alarmingly large supply
of Percocet.)
Next up, painting the kitchen, starting this weekend... the filling, sanding, and priming stages are already done... Thankfully, I've talked her
out of painting over the wood
cabinets, for now, so that'll speed
things up... maybe...
Other
things I thought
of as I was grabbing glasses
out of our
cabinets to take the photo up top, was to just be mindful
of what is around you.
Whenever we need to reach something up high — a bottle in a
cabinet, a balloon that's
out of reach, or
things on top
of the refrigerator — daddy usually gets the call.
Our art
cabinet is a big favorite, mostly because
of all the magic that comes
out of using the
things inside it!
But these were the most annoying, flimsiest
things I have ever encountered and we simply decided to reorganize our
cabinets and drawers to keep knives and cleaning products
out of reach.
Child proofing locks will effectively keep kids
out of things that could be dangerous to them and they are available for every kind
of door,
cabinet, drawer or other device in your home that opens.

things, like
cabinets, without sanding.

out of in my closet or beauty

One
thing I don't love about cooking with honey though is the sticky mess that gets all over the bottle and in the
cabinet, and the fact that I have to turn the bottle upside down and wait for it to drip down at an insanely slow pace so I can get that last bit
of honey
out of the bottle.
That wasn't the only case
of Mondays, as I realized I forgot my wallet as soon as I stepped
out the door, which was good since I went back in to retrieve it quickly, but while on my way to work, I realized that I had forgotten my keys for my
cabinet, which means I'd have no access to my snacks and other
things in my drawers.
My whole family comes to my house for Thanksgiving and Christmas, so I begin a list
of things to do including cleaning
out the refrigerators, the pantry, vacuuming and dusting every nook and cranny, organizing
cabinets, etc... This is a great time
of year to start planning ahead.

But any serious collector / hunter

of pinball machines, vintage arcade

of linoleum from the floor and use @Dawn Anastasi's trick
of lining the bottom
of the sink
cabinet with linoleum to prevent this kind
of thing from happening in the future.

We moved this
cabinet from upstairs and it now function as a great place to store all the backpacks, sneakers, jackets and
things that are brought in and
out of the house every day but keeps the room still tidy looking because all the mess is hidden away.
I've done some
things here and there, but we have a challenging shaped entry way crying
out for help, a kitchen that needs updating (I am taking inspiration from your painted
cabinets) help getting rid
of the dreaded «tract - home» look / feel, and happily any other room you'd be so inclined to makeover!
Since that's way down the road now, I'm planning on painting the inside
of the
cabinet my favorite yellow green and I may just break down and paint the outside
of the
cabinet white or maybe paint the whole
thing inside and
out.
I stuff
things in
cabinets and drawers just to get it
out of sight!
Our current kitchen is organized about as well as it can be, but that still means that pots and pans (and lids) are just kinda shoved into
cabinets awkwardly, and all the flat
things (cookie sheets, muffin trays, cutting boards) are stacked horizontally and it's like a game
of kitchen Jenga to get them
out.
Her food and water bowls are in here, but also we keep her treats in one
of the glass canisters on the counter (the other filled with laundry tablets), her large bag
of food is kept in the big pull
out drawer in the base
cabinet (love that
thing), and one
of the baskets above is dedicated to her — filled with her leash, harness and toys.
Man alive, I want a pantry like that when we finally own our own home; right now all the flours and legumes and
things are crowded into
cabinets or stashed in baggies (when we run
out of room) together, and it's frustrating not to have more space!
I have lots
of these
things in
cabinets and they are coming
out tomorrow!!!
The first
thing that jumped
out at me was the color
of the
cabinets in the bathroom and their style.
When you got rid
of your upper
cabinets where do you store your dishes I do not have a pantry but it appears I have about as much
cabinet space as you and then we have a bar that breaks up the kitchen and dinning room the bar does collect a lot
of clutter but I am not sure what I would do with
out it, but it is a thought we also have a fire place in the dinning room but it is almost hidden by the table and chairs I swear if we didn't have a place to pile
things my family couldn't live.
Love the 2 different colored
cabinets — and I totally would have done the same
thing — run
out of primer and made do with what I have.
Oh and as spunky and colorful as I like
things I also chose a white kitchen and when my designer friend tried to talk me
out of a white backsplash to go with my white
cabinets I told her that there's enough craziness in my life and since I spend so much time in the kitchen (since it is the heart
of our home) I need it to be a no fuss, clean slate!
I hung it right outside the kitchen in the laundry room, so now getting
things out of the top
cabinet won't be a problem anymore!
