If I saw a replay or heard the announcers going crazy, I turned my attention to the TV, but the UFC really needs to start thinking about making some changes that help make the presentation of the sport more appealing to casual / lapsed / new fans by say starting things 1 hour earlier, use current Fox technology by airing a commercial while minimizing the arena camera in the top left corner so you can see what is going on, and coming up with some sort of naming system for events that mark said events as high, medium, and low importance.

Diaz brothers have so many other things to them, two vegeterian triathletes who came up from the lowest of the lows, nothing to eat at home, in a rough neighbourhood saying no to all the drugs, later on to all the roids, serving their community, teaching kids,... they have been awarded many times by their local authorities and all... but all UFC wants people to think of a Nate Diaz is a mexican gangster who smokes weed and does not give a damn...

in UFC you have some fighters who are not making much on this show - win system and they have been around for a long time and have performed well... in think in Bellator the bigger name fighters at least all make good money

When they did not have a opponent for UFC196 they went to diaz, when they did not have a proper headliner for International fight week, they tried Fergusen vs Diaz and for another major PPV (30th December) they also tried Diaz Vs Woodley, well if UFC thinks Diaz is not a draw why do they always go to him for these major events?

The UFC simply grew too fast in relation their own organisational capabalities and it cannot / could not cope with it, hence Ferritta's sold it at the perfect time, now they have an aging staff minus some of the key players (e.g. Joe Silva etc.) with an old business model and old thinking processes with same old leaders (e.g. Dana), but now operating under totally new realities, many more fighters, fighters attitude have changed, different landscape in the sporting world in general (from how sport fans consume sports, viewing habbits,...)

To be a champion should mean to be the best, so I like to think of it like that at times rather then accepting everything as dictated by the UFC.
