I think your average reader will be brimming with anger toward the religious right and fired up mostly about progressive politics.

First, the

reader and what will derail them from pleasant immersion in the story.
I've noticed that there's a lot of churn in those romance categories, but in some other categories, where
readers might take longer to consume books on
average, it may be easier to stay in the charts without publishing every month (if you have

I only put the word «centering» in quotes because in this context its meaning is different from what the
average lay
reader thinks of — it's a technical term and I hoped to emphasize that.
That you can reasonably argue for use of the term does not change the fact the
average reader will see it and
