Not sure i am convinced because how do you explain the verse an eye for an eye in the old testament there have always been consequences for wrong doing and stiill are for sin.If we believe the word then that word is from God not satan. As
far as satan is concerned he uses violence as his tools of trade he
works on our fears and is limited to robbing stealing and destroying he does nt have anything else.Violence confirms to us that there is a spiritual battle going on both on the earthly plane and in the heavenlys and the battle is over souls. The verse the kingdon of heaven is expanding and violent people take it by force is referring to that spiritual battle and as satan uses violence to expand his dominion so does God use violence to counter him.So what does he mean by that term for me i
think it is saying that the the force of evil that satan uses or violence is overcome by a greater violence or force a more powerful one that being the Love of Christ.Through the cross we see that clearly portrayed and in our lives that very same battle is still happening right now for dominion be clear if we walk in the flkesh satan will have dominion over us but if we walk according to the spirit and abide in Christ we have freedom from our old nature.and satan. He can oppose us but he wont be able to influence us if we are in Christ.

further as the community of worship, united by its direction toward one God, who is Father, Son and Holy Spirit yet worshipped more as Father or as Son or as Holy Spirit in this or that part of the community; to describe it as a community of
thought in which debate and conflict can take place because there is a fundamental frame of agreement and because there are common issues of great import — to do all this and the much more that needs to be done would be to essay the
work of a large part of theology.

think may hold the best promise of resolving the question since the sixteenth century.
Ross the bible is quite clear that it is not by
works that we are saved but by the finished
work of Christ. We are saved the moment we accept Christ. Can you say that you stopped sinning the moment you accepted Christ i certainly did nt it was ingrained in my old nature. When we have the holy spirit he helps us to be transformed into Christ likeness that process is sanctification. You are right there is no condemnation to those that are in Christ Jesus. The bible says that Jesus and the father are in heaven and the holy spirit is with believers though they are one they are also separate individuals. As
far as sin is concerned we can not in our own strength live a christian life it is impossible only though trusting the holy spirit by accepting Jesus can we live a life as overcomers. If we choose to accept sin in our lives after becoming christians then we can not become overcomers i
think people accept Christ for the benefits and then live there lives for themselves i used to.I do nt know about but how is it going are you overcoming sin in your life or i know i am able because the holy spirit helps me.I do nt have to try anymore i just have to believe that through Christ the holy spirit empowers me to do that which i cant.I appreciate your comments.regards brentnz
