I
think kids do lose out without have some hazy, lazy days of summer and because
parents are
helicoptering all the time they have no childhood to explore like we did or even their
parents did.
I'm all for promoting resilience, perseverance, and independence in my kids, and I agree
helicopter parenting has to go, but I can't help
think about balance.

think about
parenting with heart, soul, and a whole lot of swagger?!

I
think it's a bit more complex than that, a triple whammy, a fateful combination of nature, nurture (the result of
helicopter parenting) that sends people into the world with no ability to emotionally cope with the fact that they will often fail, and the toxic effect of law school, which teaches mostly that the solution to every problem is litigation.
