I
think there are ways that a dress over pants could work and look good - I'm mostly
thinking of a hostess gown, which is basically a dress with a split front
skirt worn over tailored pants, which is chic AF - but wearing a forever21 ruffled floral dress over a pair of baggy
jeans is not a good if you're over the age of 8.
;) Paired with a
skirt, it looks elegant for special occasions but I
think it looks just as fabulous with a great pair of
jeans (and a really cool bucket bag).
Typically we
think to pair ponchos over skinny
jeans or leggings to balance out the proportions, but a column - shaped maxi
skirt works well too.
You might
think that in an office that allows you everything from ripped
jeans to pencil
skirts, an outfit everyday would be easy to put together!
The thee things I
think I will have to get are this waterfall vest which will be a great layering pieces with

skirt, this faux leather duffle bag (Under $ 50!)

I have a ton of graphic tees, but I hardly wear them anymore — I don't wear
jeans as often and I hadn't

Speaking of oversize trend... I do like that long sweater worn as a dress trend, you know by itself... that one at least seems like a no brainier, but combining it with other clothing items seems a bit hard... skinny
jeans seem an obvious option... as well as tights... but with other types of pants and
skirts, it can sort of split us in two and look too bulky - what do you

Apart from
jeans, I
think a mini
skirt or shorts under the long sweater can work as well so only the hem part of the bottom can be seen.
I
think it looks best with dresses and
skirts but now that I have some colored
jeans, nothing is off limits!

think that most of their tops and

think you really hit the nail on the head with the unique blouse suggestion - it's the most versatil opion since you can then wear them again outside of work with
jeans or a
skirt and look really pretty doing so.
Guy's perspective: I
think riding boots are incredibly sexy on a woman and I actually prefer the look of when women wear them with dresses /
skirts (especially knee - length and shorter) instead of with skinny
jeans, because with
skirts / dresses, it shows off the boots and the legs of the girl wearing them.

jean miniskirt, or the
skirt with a button - down and floral blazer.
I don't do booties with anything but
jeans myself, but I do
think they look nice with a more form - fitting midi - length
skirt, so maybe that's another way to try them?
