think about it pretty
much everything is better with a little blood
sugar rush... including church!

much higher moisture content.
It's a good way to keep baking powder fresh, however I
think it's because a lot of people don't bake at home — in France, bags of
sugar and flour are
much smaller than they are in the states (in the US, there are huge bags of nuts, flours,
sugars, and other baking ingredients in supermarkets)- which I
think is because there are so many bakeries (and in cities like Paris, kitchens are tiny) and lots of people buy their baked goods rather than make them.
I don't

sugar has a

I've never baked at high altitude, so I'm unsure of the effects on macarons — my initial
thoughts were that you can't tweak the ingredients too
much because then ratio would be off, but the meringue may take longer to beat up, the
sugar will probably boil more quickly, and baking time or temperature may need adjusting.
The most available peanut butter is in cans, and is almost pure peanut purée - actually healthier (less
sugar and fat) and I
think tastier than the US stuff - though also
much thicker and grainier.
2 cups of
sugar is just too
much for me anymore... (although I remember the days where I wouldn't have even
thought twice about it...)
I based it loosely off of one I can't even remember — a 1:1 ratio of room - temperature cream cheese and butter (around 6 tablespoons), and then as
much caramel as I
thought tasted good (maybe 1/2 cup), a sprinkle of salt, and around 3 cups of powdered
sugar until I realized adding more
sugar was not going to help the runniness.
I
think this happened because I stirred the caramel too
much while it was boiling (thus crystallizing the
sugars).
I did today and only used a about 1/4 cup powedered
sugar since I
thought they would be sweet enough and didn't need
much more.
I've made these several times, but yesterday was the first time I followed the recipe and used light brown
sugar instead of dark brown — I
think I like the intensity of the dark brown better:) Used my bench scraper / dough cutter to cut them, and it worked
much better than the oiled knife (or maybe I just made them a more workable goonies this time?).
It made us all
think about hidden
sugars in every day processed food, especially when it comes to food targeted at our children — and how we can ingest so
much of refined
sugar just by drinking a few refreshing drinks during a day.
David recently called out our coconut
sugar habit by reminding me, even though we «
think» it is the best option for a sweetener, it's not that
much better for you than
sugar.
I don't
think they put
much, if any,
sugar.
Some
sugar is sold as «organic» raw
sugar, and people
think this means it's unrefined — all it really means is that it's grown with organic agricultural methods, then refined as usual... the juice (molasses) has been mostly removed, and there's not really
much goodness in it.
Good, homemade granola is slightly sweet, wonderfully crunchy, and chock - full of delicious extras — nuts, dried fruit, warm spices, coconut, or pretty
much anything else you could
think of that would be delicious smothered in a little butter and
sugar and baked up to crispy perfection.
I
thought the thawed bananas for the topping would release too
much moisture so I proceeded with the butter
sugar step but added shaved toasted almonds which worked well.
Whenever I see icing
sugar I
think of when my friend ate a mug of it with a spoon on holidays once because she was craving
sugar so
much.

I
think with Splenda its suppose to be equal to
sugar, however to me its sweeter so doesn't require as
much as
sugar.
After
thinking about all of the wonderful cobblers and crisps I have had in my lifetime and realizing how
much butter and
sugar they have, I needed a somewhat healthy berry alternative.
I cut the
sugar down from the original recipe as well because I don't
think anyone should start their day with that
much sugar.
Nutella has too
much sugar and palm oil, I
think.
I didn't
think I could find a paleo version that I would like as
much as the rich
sugar filled version but I make this one every week to take to work for «breakfast»!
I have not bothered with making homemade granola in the past because, after checking ingredients of the one I like from the health food store, I didn't

think it might have overwhelmed the maple - y taste... or perhaps my maple syrup wasn't strong enough... will have to experiment... thanks again...
I also don't sweeten my tea or coffee and prefer the natural taste of beverages, I also don't even drink juice because it's stripped off fiber which speeds up a blood
sugar spike AND
much prefer real fresh fruit to eat and chew as chewing fruit secretes enzymes and that helps you kick off digestion the healthiest way:) I
think this covered A LOT and yet I'm not even done....
We use semi sweet chocolate, but if you
think the
sugar might be a bit
much for you, swap out with dark chocolate.
As for honey and dates, I
think these are DEFINITELY
much better than processed cane
sugar.
However, as using coconut
sugar won't do
much harm to these delicious matcha cupcakes, I
thought: why not?
I've come across many Black Bean Brownie recipes, but I don't
think I've ever been 100 % satisfied with one... there would either be too
much sugar, too
much butter or too many eggs.

sugar just a bit because it is a little sweet for my liking, but its the new year so a little extra sweetness can't do
