They're sort of crusty on the outside (in a good way —
think muffin top) and soft on the inside.
Not exact matches
I got the idea for these
muffins while
thinking about fall holiday staples like Sweet Potato casserole with marshmallow on
top.
However, my fiancée and I
thought they had the texture of
muffin tops instead of cookies.
I made these
muffins today and wasn't sure if I was going to be the only one in my household eating them but as it turns out all the calorie counting foodies
thought these
muffins were over the
top!!
While I
thought it was safe to assume that Pumpkin Banana
Muffins are Adam's favorite
muffin, these Banana Buttermilk
Muffins may quickly take the
top spot, if they haven't already.
Is it just me, or do you
think the
tops of
muffins are the best part?
I made these and used agave (1/2 amount for both the
muffin and
topping) and I
think it is plenty seeet that way.
When I
think of cafe - style
muffins, the first
thought that pops into my mind is crumb
topping.
Muffin tops are always my preferred part of the
muffin, so when I was
thinking up how to make cornbread better (it's tough), these came to mind.
I
think I will bake the dough in my
muffin top pan to make individual pizzas.
I
thought they might spread alittle as they baked on the «
muffin top» pan I used.
the minute i saw your beautiful craggly
muffin tops, I immediately
thought «theres got to be some good buttermilk in here», low and behold They look great, and I'm sure the orange is just perfect in here.
I
think these
muffins will stay on the
top of my vegan
muffin list.
I am
thinking a
muffin tin, fill 1/4 way to add spoon of jelly;
top off with batter.
Although my boys are now teenagers, I
think they would have loved cutting out the tiny pieces of pepperoni and decorating the
tops of these

These look very tasty indeed, I was just
thinking chocolate and mint
muffins but maybe these would be better, only trouble is I don't have any creams for the
topping...
I love the
muffins that are similar to this with the buttered / cinnamon sugar
tops but I
think I am loving the glaze idea even more!
have you tried adding cheddar to apple
muffins (skip the
topping, i
think)?
I did everything wrong from accidentally melting the butter when trying to soften it in the microwave (put it in the freezer for a few minutes afterwards) to most likely curdling the sugar mixture when I added the yogurt (the low fat kind) to yanking the
muffins out of the oven 5 seconds after I put them in there hoping like crazy that the
thought of rising hadn't even entered their little
muffin heads yet while I dumped brown sugar over the
tops.
Just when you're
thinking that you look good, your toddler pokes that
muffin top and gleefully exclaims, «Squishy!»
On
top of that,
think about how much breads, cereals, pastas,
muffins, and other highly processed wheat products that most people consume each day.
I had a lot leftover and
thought it would be the perfect
topping to complement the orange chocolate flavour of these
muffins.
I just eat the
tops of
muffins because I
think the
top is more fluffy for some reason.

think these would bake properly if I used my 6 slot
muffin top pan.

think they've sized the waists to avoid
muffin top which I appreciate though I have to belt the blues.

thought you looked adorable in that one... it seemed to capture your personality so I totally would not have noticed the «
muffin top».

think it can really help smooth out things and make my
muffin top a little smaller!

I
think we can all agree that «
muffin tops» (the fat hanging over the waist of a too tight pair of pants) and «pot - bellies» aren't attractive.
