credit counselling requirement so we
think it is appropriate that we express our opinion on the matter.

think credit counseling is good for a lot
of people who need a little bit
of help and far better than
credit couseling if they can afford the program, but why are they allowed to get away with this stuff?

thinks) I would be asking to be steered into bankruptcy if I ask for a US Dept.
of Justice approved
credit counseling service (per # 7

of credit counseling service).
This is, and we go back to
credit counselling for a second on a Global News show about two months ago, one
of the head
of the largest
credit counselling organizations, I
think misinformed consumers.
I
think there's a lot
of confusion around
credit counselling and some
of the other options so I'm glad Heather was here and was able to help clarify it for us today.
If combined with suitable
credit counseling as also a well
thought out debt repayment plan, a debt may be paid off at a fraction
of its original value and allow you to walk away absolutely debt - free.
Credit counseling is
thought of as a non-profit service delivered by IRS 501 (c)(3) non-profit organizations.
The best solution is to do some research on the company you are
thinking about doing business with to make sure that they are reputable and being on the lookout for any
of these
credit counseling scams.

If there is some reason that you
think you may not be able to complete the
credit counseling requirement, speak with your bankruptcy lawyer far in advance
of your planned filing date to see whether or not you might fall under an exception and what documentation might be required.
