I think of sweater dresses I normally think of the colder months.
Whenever
I think of a sweater dress, I picture either a chunky, oversized, shift dress or a straight, hugging all the wrong places dress.

I don't
think I'll ever get over my love for blanket scarves and long cozy socks, and how perfect would this
sweater dress be all cozied up with these socks and the most darling mug full
of hot cocoa??

dresses and oversized cashmere
sweaters.
As others have mentioned, it's made
of a
sweater material, which made it great for a New Year's Eve
dress — I
think it kept me a LITTLE warmer.
Option 2 is a
sweater dress that I
thought would be great paired with leggings and booties for more
of a date - night look or a night out with girlfriends, but you still get that comfort that we all desire!
I love a good oversized fit, and this
sweater is extra oversized — in fact, I honestly have
thought about wearing it as a
dress with tights (rare perk
of being short!)!
Of course they go with
dresses, but
think easy mom jeans and
sweaters in the Fall, too.
One thing I would caution about the
sweater dress in general, is that they are kind
of misleading in the fact that they seem bulky so people tend to
think they conceal.

Yes, this
dresses could easily be styled and transitioned into our current freezing winter weather situation we have right now with tights, a great motto jacket or
sweater cardigan and some booties, but I couldn't help it — it just made me
think of warmer times!
Speaking
of oversize trend... I do like that long
sweater worn as a
dress trend, you know by itself... that one at least seems like a no brainier, but combining it with other clothing items seems a bit hard... skinny jeans seem an obvious option... as well as tights... but with other types
of pants and skirts, it can sort
of split us in two and look too bulky - what do you
think?
The
thought of cozy
sweaters, booties and layering
dresses makes creating a wish list pretty easy, above are a few
of my favorites that I am currently craving.
Although this is definitely a stand - out piece, the basic structure and mix
of colors help it blend seamlessly with a number
of easy outfits:
think little black
dress and leather jacket, or jeans, loafers and a simple roll neck
sweater... done!
And because spring is on full swing around that time, I'm
thinking of strutting a comfy
sweater dress and over-the-knee boots in the city.
Also have to give kudos to Kohls — I bought a charcoal grey cable knit
sweater dress for $ 50 (which I
thought was a bit pricey, but it felt so comfy and fit perfectly) and sure enough, I wear it all
of the time.
This year, my office holiday party is more
of a formal affair (
think cocktail
dress, not tacky
sweater), so I'm saving my Christmas garb for another occasion, like a house party or something.

of wearability I
think this
dress would be very wearable throughout November and December, perhaps with a
sweater over it for work or a pretty cardigan.
Hi Ladies, I just
thought I'd let you know that the Lolland
Sweater Dress (from the first two pages
of the October catalog) also went on sale today.
They also had 2 laced dots
sweaters — size L (both), simply lovely
sweater dress — size M, a couple
of bowtie minis — nothing larger than a 10, a winged victory top — size 12, and a wavelet blouse — size 10 (I
think).
I love to have simple outfits that require zero
thinking when I'm in a rush, and I'm happy to have this
sweater dress as one
of my options now.
While typically I
think of a gingham button down with a cable knit
sweater as rainy day layering, I wanted to rework a favorite
dress for a drizzly day look.
