I put it in regular canning jars that sealed so
think it's ok to leave on the
shelf until
opened, like regular canned jams and jellies.
Using almond milk would work just fine, but I don't
think it would extend the
shelf life by much, since I
think it's usually supposed to be used within 10 days after
opening, too.

I was struggling with the will it get dusty... and
thought about adding glass to the cabinet doors instead, but I truly like the
open shelf look even more and it is so accessible too.

open shelves but they are just not practical for us either and I'm not sure I'd want everyone to see our disorganized chaos every time they come into the kitchen, LOL.

thought I would need 2 because of the
open shelving spots but the 1 kit really went a long way.
I'm going to guess the
open shelving under the cabinets... because I immediately
thought, «Oh, I love the way she (Adam) fastened the
shelves to the underside of the cabinets with cable!»
I wouldn't
think I would be one for

shelves instead of mirror - backing them.

Most people
think a wall with windows is a dead space but in this kitchen, placing the
open shelves in front of the windows provides extra storage and creates a striking design feature.

I
think those little labels may be my favorite I so wish I had a linen closet to keep all that stuff in — we just have an ugly wicker
shelf in the bathroom that the previous owners left to house all our linen stuff, which means it's in

think the thing for me is, I really want my
open shelving to house the stuff I use everyday, so for me, it's a perfect place to buy what you LOVE, because then you can display it, and use it and it's within reach.
I would've never
thought of having
