I think open toe booties are one of the best ways to start the transition without fully committing.

And second, on our last ski outing with friends my
toes were still in a really painful state + there were no green trails
open so I went on an (allegedly) easy blue trail and literally
thought I was going to die!

thinking about some of my 1930's and 1940's fashion icons... they would never have been caught without stockings (and even socks sometimes) and wore

toed and sling backs all of the time.

think you are jumping the gun.

I
think most of us push the
open toed heels to the back of the closet when winter rolls around but don't forget you can always wear them with tights.

I braved the cold temps (50s lest you
think I was out in 30 degree weather in
open toed shoes) and paired them with my favorite pleated blush midi skirt and this fun ruffle hem top.
The weather has been very temperamental and unseasonal here in the DMV, so I kinda
thought I'd be wearing it with an

toe pump or heeled sandal as the temperatures had been warm.
I
think a great way to stretch a summer wardrobe is to pair shorts or a skirt with cooler weather tops and switch out
open toes shoes for closed.
I combined it with my
open toe cuffed cage heels, What do you guys
think about this outfit?
I
think my
open -
toed clogs, which don't have as rounded of a
toe may have been the best option.
It also
opens up my imagination to keep me on my
toes and not get sucked in automatic
thinking that I can become accustomed to when not having characters in my head.
