When I gave up refined
sugar and killed my
sugar addiction (except for special occasions) a few years ago, I
thought chocolate would be off limits.
Schrock: Well, other researchers — I
think there is a group at the University of Minnesota — are looking into the possibility of treating cocaine
addiction with other kinds of rewards, so that's definitely an area they are going to look into and they also
think it has implications for obesity because if
sugar is this addicting and if we can treat it like an
addiction, we may be able to curb this obesity epidemic.
So I
thought it might be helpful to share with you my knowledge and experience so you can stop your
sugar addiction too.
If you
think you don't have a
sugar addiction or if you are in doubt try to eat refined
sugar free for 10 days to see if you develop any symptoms.
And by the way, pass this on to anyone who you
think might be interested in beating their
sugar addiction with you!
Unfortunately, just like smoking was
thought to be «safe» back in the day,
sugar addiction is real.
