I never thought about chalk paint, all the tutorials I've seen about painting tile or countertops require priming, painting and sealer, would be nice to skip the priming step!

I've seen some controversy about chalk paint lately (some people aren't fans), but I personally think it's great!

think you are talking about a blackboard / chalkboard surface as opposed to a Chalkpaint ie flat milk like paint not meant for writing on with chalk but as a flat finish on furniture.

I have yet to try any DIY chalk paint recipes but I've been thinking about it and this post really helped me out.
I had thought about using one of the chalk / clay paint colors, watered down, that would have been easy and fast as well, but I would have had to seal it, and I was looking for the quickest and easy route — the Reclaim has a built - in sealer.
