The way to crimes against humanity was prepared by peculiar ways of
thinking about humanity.
Among those who have genuinely overcome dualism in
their thinking about humanity and the rest of the world, I find two major groups.
And not just for me,

think all christians do is sit on their butts and pray and look pie eyed at the sky - this christian worked her butt of on the streets - and look at Mother Thresa - and other christians working for
humanity all over the world - i
think athiests have the wrong idea
about chtistians...
You cut through the modern politics and hand waving and what you have is that for at LEAST 200 years and probably more (longer than we've been around as a country) Christians were «held in contempt» to the point that for
about 10 of those years several emperors pursued active policies of extermination (that's what the «actually persecuting» statement refers to -
think holocaust type policies) that included some of the worst type of tortures known to
humanity.
Language would not exist without
humanity, it is derived from human
thought and meaning; while the sun would go on burning with or without us, our observations, or our
thoughts about it.
God is not sinful and so does not need redemption in that manner, but
humanity has terrible ideas
about God, and God wants to reveal Himself to us as He really is; not as who we
think He is.
With my imagination captivated by
humanity's flawed attempts at Eden, and my head lost in philosophy, I couldn't understand why anyone was
thinking about «theories.»
