I had some leftover cashew cream sauce from dinner last week that I wanted to use up in tonight's dinner, so I started
thinking about meals that I haven't made in awhile.
I tend to
think about my meals in broader stokes (and in context based on what I'm eating the rest of the day)- enough whole grains?
I still
think about that meal sometimes and wonder at why I don't concoct more badass sandwiches for myself.

It cured my constantly
thinking about meals when I ate five to six a day; It made me realize what hunger felt like; It stabilized my energy levels and eliminated my mindless snacking and any emotional eating.
Now these look like some delicious ideas, I have to admit I've not
thought about meal prepping for a week before, but actually, it might be a good idea.
Additionally, shopping in the bulk bin not only encourages us to eat more whole foods and avoid packaged products but from a holistic point of view, encourages us to start

I too have attended church my whole life and don't remember too many of the sermons that were preached, and, now that I
think about it, I've been married to my wife for over 20 years, and in that time, she's cooked over 20,000

thoughts and feelings.
So I began to
think about what it means to be alive and began to really pray for perhaps the first time in my life (other than those prayers at

meals were just ordinary food not actual occult substance and only symbolic if you believed them to be.
Of course I also spend time taking pictures of the beautiful world, spending time with my wife, reading books or magazines, playing video games, enjoying a great
meal, engaging in citizen scientist projects, spending time in
thought or contemplation
about the universe or our planet, or in other words generally loving and enjoying life!
To me, going to McDonald's and ordering a Happy
Meal is kind of brainwashing and dehumanizing...
thinking about all the ingredients of things you eat, and how they're prepared, leads to increased engagement with the world and your own basic needs... a lot more analysis and critical
thought, a lot less simple «acceptance» of what's given.
We like to
think that if we don't have a record of Jesus» teachings on a matter, he must not have said anything
about it, but we forget that Jesus healed, blessed, taught, and shared
meals with people whose names we will never know, whose stories will never be immortalized in stained glass.
Not in a weird way, just I find that my
meals are pretty much always the highlight of my day so I spend a lot of time
thinking about them!

P.S, I know some people don't like the idea of tofu, and I definitely was one of them, but as I've started
thinking about including some veggie protein at each
meal I've started playing around with it and I'm actually starting to love it.

thinking about what to eat at Thanksgiving or Christmas I hope that this recipe might inspire you and get you excited for your
meal.
In the interest of full disclosure I don't know that I would use it much myself (I'm terrible at planning
meals and have finally accepted that

We only did it a couple of times, but it is something I often
think about when I eat this
meal.
I love recipes where veggies are automatically included in the the main part of the
meal and I don't have to
think about cooking a side dish.
