You can book
Etihad's Apartments using American Airlines miles,
though in recent months this has required phone calls to AA in the likes of Australia and Fiji to get the flights booked.
And
though Singapore Airlines» new product won't feature a 3 - bedroom «Residence,» it will definitely give
Etihad's First Class Apartment a run for its money.
For example, Alitalia may have a codeshare flight with
Etihad, but you can't book these flights with Delta miles even
though it is a SkyTeam partner with Alitalia.
It remains best for first class awards
though — Cathay Pacific,
Etihad, Qatar (limited routes), British Airways (fuel surcharges) as well as somewhat more difficult «get» Qantas.
I love redeeming American miles for travel to Asia (on Cathay Pacific and Japan Airlines) and for travel to the Middle East (on
