Time it right though and you can carve deliciously clean arcs through the bends, jump on
the throttle at the apex and storm down the next straight leaving the world in your wake.
When you nail
the throttle at the apex of a corner, the ILX's front end pushes wide, where the Si knuckles down and sticks.
Stepping down on
the throttle at the apex would then cause the tail to drift wide a few useful degrees.

The
throttle should be hard in by now and once
at the
apex you should unwind the lock and let the car run out to the edge of the track once more.
The automatic switching between pure electric and hybrid modes is a distraction, but there is tremendous traction when all power sources are called up, allowing you to confidently lay the
throttle back
at the
apex safe in the knowledge that drive is being sent both to the front and rear wheels.
At the turn I'm on the brakes for a brief moment, then back on the
throttle, turning the wheel to aim towards the
apex.
