Africa is looking for an agreement that will assure to undertake
mitigation and adaptation through effective finance mechanism
and technology transfer.
Paragraph 2: Parties are encouraged to take action to implement
and support, including
through results - based payments, the existing framework as set out in related guidance
and decisions already agreed under the Convention for: policy approaches
and positive incentives for activities relating to reducing emissions from deforestation
and forest degradation,

and coastal resources, climate change

adaptation efforts
and more.
We highlighted the Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate & Energy as a means
through which to establish this linkage, as it already fosters an integrated approach combining
mitigation,
adaptation and access to energy at the urban scale.
