The money will be
used to extend programs initiated in 2009
through a $ 6 million Safe Schools Healthy Students grant that covered violence, alcohol and
illegal drug prevention activities, student behavioral, social, and emotional supports, mental health services, and early childhood social and emotional learning programs, officials said.
