Compared to Kia's Soul, the Rio appeals to more conservative tastes with its traditional hatchback body style, sweptback LED headlights, and
redesigned tiger nose grille that resembles a recently slayed Dodge Dart's mug.
The Forte5 ditches its thin version of Kia's
tiger nose grille for a larger version that now feeds directly into the reworked headlight clusters.
One such feature is the new LED fog lights which are arranged in a quad configuration just under the Xenon headlights and to the side of Kia's
traditional tiger nose grille.
On the design side, it looks relatively modest, a mild refresh over the previous version with an
unassuming tiger nose grille, daytime running lights, short hood, and dipping rear windows.
Those include the long hood and short deck that give the Forte a fastback - like shape, a
refreshed tiger nose grille, more aggressive bumpers, Stinger - like headlamps (albeit with separate turn indicators), and new taillights (available as LEDs) united by a horizontal trim piece.
In 2010 the Rio embraced Kia's
distinctive tiger nose grille and added some modern and high - tech features such as Bluetooth hands - free phone operation and a new gauge cluster.
The exterior of the Forte looks pretty good with the company's Kia's signature
tiger nose grille that is shared with the Stinger.
Retaining its Korean market model name rather than follow the musical theme Kia uses for its US models, the K900 sports common Kia design elements such as
the tiger nose grille and fender ports.
From the images, we can see that the Sorento is adopting the corporate face of Kia including
the tiger nose grille, and is dropping its somewhat boxy design in favor of a more rounded, slick appearance.
Still, it's easily recognizable as a Kia thanks to design cues that remind of the brand's larger SUVs such as
the tiger nose grille, as well as the horizontal headlights and taillights.
Like the Rio the Forte now includes
the tiger nose grille and updates to the headlights and taillights.
As you can see, the Ceed sketch shows plenty of similarities with the Proceed Concept, particularly at the front where there's a new version of Kia's
tiger nose grille, similar headlights that extend to the fenders, and an aggressively - styled bumper that integrates a second grille and triangular lateral air intakes.
At the front, the intake grille and fog lamp graphics were expanded to establish a more confident and sporty image of the car while maintaining the design identity of Kia's
tiger nose grille.
The upcoming Kia Sportage will definitely get a fresh look, with a completely restyled front end that includes a more upright version of the Kia
tiger nose grille, and new fascia, fenders, headlights and hood.
A smartly creased hood is fronted by what Kia calls
its tiger nose grille, a pet cue of the designer Peter Schreyer, president of the Hyundai Motor Group, who oversees Hyundai and Kia styling.
