The
tiles have been customized for the game,
so instead of
seeing the
tiles that one would normally
see in Mahjong Solitaire, the
tiles are thematic to the game.
So players will be
seeing and matching
tiles that are marked either as monsters or helpful items.
But it seemed
so clunky, especially since I really need to keep the 8 pixel
tile above each letter of text reserved for languages that need diacritics (you'll
see this often in Japanese RPGs on the NES; it's how they implemented the dakuten for their kana characters).

I have a
tile saw and just love it, it makes cutting
tile so much easier but mine is a wet
saw that I've had a couple of years.
The black is solid throughout the
tile so if it chips or has an exposed edge you don't
see white.

seeing subway
tiles everywhere, but what you achieved here with just that little stripe is
so beauftiful and elegant.

tiles for a nominal fee
so that you can actually layout your design choice of backsplash

The «cove molding» piece (that I used to bridge the
tile and counter) and trim pieces (which cover the raw edges of the
tiles) are a little more challenging to cut,
so you'll need really sharp scissors or a
saw or something!
So glad to
see this as I am getting ready to take out the
tile in my bathroom.
BAsements can be
so challenging with dark rooms, low ceilings and who hasn't
seen those ceiling
tiles before but you managed to turn it in to a fun room and bright colors now... I bet they will love to spend time there!
I have never
seen FLOR
tiles look
so beautiful — almost like a large - scale buffalo check (but way more timeless!).
These
tiles are produced by using two (or more) different colors of clay in the body of the
tile,
so that the patterns you
see are integral to the
tiles (rather than glazed onto the surface) and will never wear off.
My jaw literally dropped when I
saw these... the hood, the
tiles, those lights, the color scheme, the opened up space... ALL
SO AMAZING!
Try throwing a slip cover in there, it will do the tango across your lovely white
tile, leave all spots on your slipcovers, and even with the soak cycle, some numnuts engineer decided to lock the machine while it is going,
so I can't even
see what the problem is.
Luckily our laundry room down the
tiled hall in this basement is a decent size (
see it here)
so we will have just enough room for a small treadmill or some other machine there.
We've had our hearts set on (eventually) installing some kind of ming green and thassos white mosaic
tile on our backsplash,
so I snapped this next pic (with my cell phone) just to
see what my Rosemary Gallery looked like with that kind of
tile:
Yet, in my old 1890 farmhouse, I would love to rip up the old berber carpeting going up the staircase, and replace it with these
tiles just on the top of the steps
so that we could
see the beautiful wood on the risers.
Ironically, I just bought the EXACT vinyl
tile to do my half bath with,
so it was incredibly helpful to
see exactly what the finished product will look like.
This looks
so good, and I thought it was real marble
tile when I first
saw the bathroom reveal!
It was
so fun to peel back the carpet and
see those floors and peek under the ceiling
tiles and
see how much higher the ceilings were!
The notched trowel gives the thinset some «tooth» for the
tile to grab onto, but because glass
tiles are
see - through, you want to smooth out the notches with the smooth side
so the notches are underneath and not visible.
Mr. DIY used a
saw called a «Fat Max» to under cut the door jamb
so that
tile would fit neatly underneath...

tile in the entry, carpet in the hallway and linoleum in the kitchen) to all the laminate wood floors.

These are
so creative and simple, I'm surprised I haven't
seen more subway
tiled planter boxers.
We have wood laminate in our kitchen (& whole house) and initially planned to do ceramic
tile but decided that since we want to do hardwood down the road, we won't want to rip up the ceramic
tile,
so we're going to wait on flooring... but we drooled over all the gorgeous travertine we've
seen, nothing less than $ 5 / sq ft around here though.
