There's so much to appreciate in that film — from its portrayal of a kickass female lead character who just so happens to have a physical disability (though is never depicted as being a person who matters less because of it) to its impressive number of real -

The movie takes its
time, and isn't concerned with having an
action sequence every ten minutes.
The
action sequences, however, are pretty hit and miss, which is a shame considering Wright's outstanding work in «Scott Pilgrim vs. the World,» and the sci - fi setting seems to be working against the story at
times.
No surprise that he isn't quite up to the task of keeping this old idea fresh, and definitely spends too much
time in lengthy
action sequences that, while impressively mounted, aren't nearly as intense or exhilarating as he thinks they must be.
