So when I had a hard
time cutting a squash in half I just threw it in the oven, baked it for an hour and then stuck a knife in it.

I had the most awful (and probably dangerous)
time trying to get the spaghetti
squash cut.
Wash the spaghetti
squash and slice off the stem at the top (if it is too hard to
cut, pierce it a few
times then microwave it for about 5 minutes to help soften it).
So I've left it completely up to you, prepare your own
squash however you like, I've even been microwaving my
squash sometimes lately, which really
cuts down on the
time.
If you want to
cut down on pans, put the chickpeas and cauliflower on different sides of the same pan (they'll need to roast for the same amount of
time) and the acorn
squash on a separate pan.
Note: If you want to

In addition to many other convenient produce items, Trader Joe's also has shredded cabbage which makes it easy to create slaw and
cut fresh butternut
squash that saves major
time in the kitchen.
Cut the butternut
squash into roughly the same size, because you want all the pieces to cook at the same
time.
Typically a butternut
squash dinner requires a long cooking
time, but by
cutting the
squash into planks, then roasting them at a high temp, I was able to cook it in about 20 minutes, getting this sandwich into weeknight dinner territory.

time - it was quite an effort.
This curry is an easy weeknight meal and I like to plan ahead and
cut the prep
time by cooking the butternut
squash the night before I actually make the curry so it's quicker to assemble.
Directions:

squash is roasting, sauté onion in olive oil for 5 minutes, add garlic and cook for 2 more minutes / Add apples, apple juice, turmeric, curry and / or chili paste, stir together and cook briefly, a minute or so / Add cooked
squash and 2 quarts of the stock or water / Stir to mix / Simmer slowly with lid on for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally / Taste and adjust seasoning and cooking

They still start to nag when they see me
cutting up yet another pumpkin or
squash, but when lunch
time comes and the pumpkin is part of a delicious meal, they stop complaining and actually eat it (or at least parts of it).
I like to chop and freeze my
squash ahead of
time for easy meals like this but you can also just buy yours already
cut.
If you want to save half the cooking
time, you can
cut the butternut
squash into chunks half the specified size, as I did.
I have used this recipe without fail so many
times now - have altered it and made a wild mushroom and truffle oil risotto (just omitted the peas and onions)- and also for a wonderful butternut
squash risotto - baked the
squash first - then
cut into small squares - used cumin as the flavouring agent.
If you're short on
time, feel free to use store - bought
cut butternut
squash.
The only
time consuming aspect to this recipe is
cutting the
squash.

time, I might sauté and purée some veggies like carrots or some kind of
squash, just to
cut the acidity of tomato and lemon.
This

cut the blouse to fit my nursing bust size rather than attempting an FBA, and while that helps with the chest
squashing problem, I can see that the fit across the shoulders is too big.
