Where I'm from, we like to
decorate our outdoor spaces more than our indoor space, probably because we spend a lot of
time on our
porches or outside in the evenings when the Southern heat still simmers, but is easier to enjoy.
Summer is winding down and it's
time to start thinking about how to

I try to take pleasure daily in the routine chores and occasionally «treat» myself by taking some
time out to do a little
decorating or just sitting on my back
porch enjoying the last of the balmy days.
After the show, we drove home for a quick lunch, and then it was
PORCH DECORATING TIME!
So this was the first
time I have EVER
decorated my
porch for fall and I had so much fun!
To boost the ambience in the personality - filled
porch along the front of the house, homeowner and designer Leslie Rylee paired the swing (devised with help from Kay Sloan, a friend whom the designer labels «jack of all trades, seamstress, and facilitator extraordinaire») with old -
time treasures like antique lamps and an end table
decorated with wooden spools.
For example, the winter squash and corn stalks from my garden spend a little
time decorating my front
porch in early October.
As fall is officially underway, it is
time to start thinking about
decorating your front
porch by creating an inviting entryway to greet your guests.

Decorating your Front
Porch doesn't have to be an expensive or
time consuming activity.
I switch up our front
porch a few
times a year, but here is our front
porch all
decorated with modern containers and lots of greenery.
And since it was
time to do a little Summer Front
Porch Decorating, it was perfect
timing.
I use them in my
decorating all the
time and for my rustic Fall
porch, I added a Happy Fall Y ’ all pillow to one of them.
She can come
decorate my
porch any
time she wants!
