I know there are people out there with real problems that have a hard
time feeding their kids, but the system needs to be changed.
In general my theory is follow the 90/10 rule — 90 % of
the time feed your kids what you know you should be feeding them and 10 % of the time it's okay to give them stuff that's not perfect because we don't have all the time in the world

Yet there has been no increase in transfer payments to the provinces for universities, meaning that working - and middle - class families have an incredibly difficult
time sending their
kids to post-secondary institutions (without housing and

I just find it hard to reconcile mummy bloggers who are quite vocal about allowing their
kids no / minimal screen
time (Courtney included, who I believe has posted before about this subject), whilst these mummies are happy to post numerous photo's per day on Instagram

kids who aren't allowed to look at a computer!!

In the past three years I've handled round - the - clock
feedings, both
kids being hospitalized for RSV (a respiratory infection), an ER visit for stitches after a run in with the edge of the bath tub, countless colds and stomach bugs, nightmares, the particular breed of torture that is a tantrumming 2 year old (

The mom who works all day outside the home to provide for her family and comes home at 6 pm just in

kids, play for a minute, put them to bed and then do it all over again the next day... you are doing a good job.

I totally get the fatigue around
feeding your
kids healthy 100 % of the
time.
To help quash these pointless yet damaging thoughts I am spending more
time focusing on all the things I actually do for my
kids instead of dwelling on the things I don't and it is really working to
feed my positive mindset.
My
kids were bottle -
fed and it was so easy to prop them up side - by - side in their Boppies and
feed them both at the same
time.
It infuriates me that the system can't seem to operate in a way that at least allows my child to eat something and therefore cutting me off at the knees by just trying to
feed my
kid because there is literally no
time in the day to allow him to eat.
We've got the
time and expertise to work with families until they feel confident about
feeding and
kids are well supported to eat and grow as their bodies are designed.
Rather than merely offering a digital solution for tracking your
kids poop schedule or
feeding times, wearable health monitoring and tracking devices provide specific real -
time data about your child and (generally) deliver it right to your smartphone.
You wouldn't be here if you didn't already care about
feeding your
kids well and that usually means home cooking, at least some of the
time.
It's childish nonsense, and it promotes this stupid
feeding war mentality that exists in america, because our lives are so frigging amazing that we have
time and money to expend effort on caring what other people
feed their
kids like it makes a lick of difference.
