I've been full -
time food blogging for about a year now.
Not exact matches
I started writing a blog in November, but it took me quite a long
time to really take that step, as I had always been wondering what other people might think of me
blogging about healthy, mostly plant - based
food, as most people around me don't share this interest and think quite different than I do.
One of my favorite things about this
time of year in the
blogging world is learning about how other people celebrate the holidays including their memories and
food traditions and this bountiful bowl looks like the essence of comfort and deliciousness.
There have been several
times when I've wondered why I'm even doing this whole ding - dang thing, if it's even worth it, getting ready to throw in the towel — but then I remember my readers, my
blogging friends, the
food blog community, all of you who inspire me.
I am also a veggie lover so January is one of my favourite
times of the year in the
food blogging world.
didn't know anything about
blogging before i started a
food / family one this summer (sort of been in a
time freeze since 2001 having 4 kids), and i'm glad i didn't.
After just a few months of
blogging, my tiny little
food blog was mentioned in an article in the New York
Times about the high cost of celiac disease.
For the uninitiated, The Secret Recipe Club is a group of around 100
food bloggers, separated into three smaller
blogging groups, each of which post at different
times of the month.
It's the first
time I have ever done that with the
food blog photos in the 6 years I have been
blogging!
But it seems that using unusual ingredients or
time - consuming preparation methods seems to go against every
food -
blogging trend right now.
[Zip Recipes] has for sure made
food blogging 100
times easier.
In those first few days of
food blogging, I wanted to blog all the
time; nothing could stop me, and I wanted every moment transcribed and logged onto this newfound space called Dish by Dish.
To let you all in on a behind the scenes process of
food blogging, there are many
times when you photograph a dish prior to ever tasting it.
Time, other interests (many of which are discussed over at my new blog), and... honestly, I feel that the overall camaraderie in the fiery
foods world, the chile pepper community, and the hot sauce
blogging community have deteriorated and made a turn for the worse.
I have to displace half of my kitchen in order to set up for my photographs:)(my poor housemates are banished from the kitchen during this
time) what a mission
food blogging can be!
The Firecast is a multiple - award - winner, with accolades that include the St. Louis Riverfront
Times award for Best Use of Video in
Food Blogging in 2011, and the 2GuysTalking «I Hear Your Podcast Award» in 2010.

time to do something big, something bold, and something that would get as many other people as we can to not only read about eating real
foods, but to also make a commitment to this important change.
I'm a Spanish speaking, supper cooking, sporadic house cleaning, sometimes swearing, to do list making, stroller pushing, diaper changing, SAHM & skin care selling, God fearing, church going, independently thinking, family loving, not always perfect, hooked on
blogging, husband loving, health
food nut & junk
food junkie, first & now second
time mommy.

food for five years and if I had a franc for every
time someone's told me about the superior school meals in that country, I'd have enough money to buy every TLT reader this lunch:

I've been
blogging about
food and nutrition for a while now, and at
times touched on my past experience with eating disorders.
She started her
food blog just a short
time after I started
blogging, and we've been so lucky to go through this experience together.
Not gonna lie, there are days I just feel like an utter failure as a mom, I served fast
food, let them watch TV when I just needed some
time to finish
blogging.
It was only a matter of
time before someone else picked up the gauntlet: Nyam Penh is
