Tweaking, remoulding and teasing out the underlying systems of the original, and then layering things like cold weather, may not set the world on fire like the original Company of Heroes did but it's still a solid strategy game and with the right support and continued release of content I can see it living on for quite some time.

People give this game such a bad reputation because there are a Lot of cutscenes in this game however if you are a fan of the games universe this is perfect for you because this game series has been going on for near 20 years at the point this game was released and in that time there had been about 7 other games released which covered content from the cold war onwards to the games present

All in all, those new to the franchise would be better served to pick up the Mass Effect Trilogy releases that came out at the same time and would get all 3 games for the same price.

Overall, the game is great and still really fun to play but I always think «If they had spent a bit more time fixing all the stinking glitches and problems with this game it would have been perfect» I don't understand... it's like releasing a Zelda game (which are always very ambitious games) with a tonne of bugs and just screwing it up for everyone... grrr.

I can't speak for the two follow - up games released on the Vita, but I can say, with certainty, that Valkyria Revolution is not worth your time or money.
