At a time when Cuba was introduced to the International Art World, in part by the birth of the Havana Biennial, the collective has had much success with many solo and group exhibitions in the USA, Canada, Cuba, Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, Argentina, Europe, the UK (V&A, Parasol unit), Hong - Kong.
Being from Vancouver and you know, when I was in university, listening to Jeff Wall as guest lecturer a number of times, it was quite great to see just how well he's done, particularly for an artist in Vancouver to break into that international success.
It is becoming clear that we need to develop standards, where appropriate on an international basis, by which we can evaluate the success of innovative products without unduly diminishing the commitment of the thousands involved in their development to give their time, energy and expertise.
