Mama, but there have been a few additions in the past week that I want to direct you to.
What I'm saying is that I don't feel like washing the
mama cloth has made my laundry duties any more
time or energy consuming.
I have for some
time hoped to begin another chapter of
Mama to
Mama, but quite frankly felt as though my plate was just too full to
do so in 2009.
The first
time I had the throw - up / poop virus after I became a
Mama (during the week / without my husband), I called my mom and apologized for all the
times we didn't let her rest when she was sick.

time preparing for his birth and didn't give much thought to postpartum.
The last thing you want to
do is become this Super Pumping
Mama, pumping many
times a day to pack your freezer with milk.
So, when the
time comes that you don't need them anymore (or just want to try something new) you can sell your diapers to another
mama.
So now I'm on a mission to breastfeed my boy in those offices any
time in the hopes that more
mamas will feel comfortable
doing so!

time, this very pregnant
mama decided that all those bumpy back roads of Maine were just a little more than I wanted (though I know it could be
done, a birth on the side of the road is not my idea of fun).
Calvin - who appreciates «immaculate» perhaps a bit more than his
Mama, has washed his floor three
times since we've moved in (compared to my, um, none), and his room really
does look fabulous and so white.
Sure, as a therapist I don't looooove these pieces of gear and encourage that parents limit baby's
time in them to 15 - 30 minutes a day (combined), but as a
mama I know they're in most homes and that they can keep baby safely contained and happy during essential daily routines.
It gives me hope that even if I don't have 2 hour labors like Code Name
Mama I might still be able to VBAC next
time:)
Summer is the
time for some field trips — how about a day at the zoo like the one visited by Peakle Pie, some fun at the creek and surrounding area from Like

Breast milk can — and
does — provide babies with enough vitamin D as long as
mama gets at least 10
times the current recommend amount, which is 400 — 600 IU each day.
I LOVE when my kids request pizza for dinner and I can say yes with a feel - good
mama heart, knowing we have homemade dough in the freezer to cook it, and we'll have a good
time doing it.
When the Mayer's sent the exciting baby # 2 news my way, I a)
did my repeat
mama happy dance and b) started praying for an easier second

as a busy twin

time for planning and prepping, hello fresh exceeded my expectations... the recipes were delicious and it took the thinking out of meal planning for this sleep deprived

While many
do get it right away, for others there is a learning curve that takes a few weeks to get into your groove, and sometimes extra support is needed - especially if its your first experience and you are not surrounded by

Whether it's because they think that they have plenty of
time to attend to the details, or they just don't realize that there are certain details that need to be attended to, it's almost a guarantee that
mamas - to - be that don't plan in advance are going to quickly discover that they wish they had really put some more thought into preparing before they went into labor.
As a soon to be second -
time mama, it's sometimes hard to admit that I didn't succeed at everything the first
time around.
I know — breastfeeding is difficult enough without all of these extra things to keep in mind, but these seven myths about breastfeeding positions can give you the peace of mind you need (because you're
doing awesome,
mama) and offer you some quick facts to shout the next
time someone insists you
do a football hold to breastfeed.
I
do believe in
mama time outs («calm - downs», «breaks») but have heard it's good to
do them in a way that doesn't emphasise that the separation is due to the child's behavior (maybe by taking a bathroom break, heading to your room to «get something» or some other errand in another room....).
All of my second
time round
mama friends have said that it's a breeze although the thought of it
does freak me out.
So for those pumping
mamas that need the
time to hurry up and pass by, here are 11 things to

All is forgiven now that it's
done, though, because now I hear several

I had never been to a La Leche League meeting... I didn't really have any close breastfeeding
mama friends yet at the
time, and I hadn't really ever seen a mom breastfeeding her child.
You won't remember how you healed me with every smile, every
time you wrapped your chubby little arms around me, every
time you stroked my head and said «Good

time, part -
time or stay home full
time... isn't it amazing what a
mama does in one day... sometimes in one hour?
This may not be true for every family, but for us — when we don't build in
time for each person — toddler, 3 year - old,
Mama, Daddy and our extended family members — to check out in whatever way serves each of us every day — the goal of having fun together from dawn to dusk extends farther and farther out of reach until it becomes an imploding joke as each of us unravel in our own way with palm trees and amusement parks in the background.
It's better understood in retrospect (first -
time mamas take note) that women in labor
do NOT want to get in a car — staying at home for the birth, not having to come right home, and having post-partum home visits is pretty awesome.
At this
time, we are at not currently adding more
mamas however please

I really want to be able to continue support
MAMA Academy and Aching Arms as I
do now, so I felt I should be kind to myself and allow for a little more
time.
As prevention seems to be the best solution to most things, here is my best advice (i.e. guidance, encouragement, not evidence - based): Don't wait too long (say past 6 or 8 weeks) because babies get to a point where
Mama's warm body is really the source of food and all other substitutes fail miserably — that is not the easiest
time to introduce a piece of silicone.

mama: Well, when I was having recurrent yeast infections (this was back when I was using antibiotics for acne, and I had a yeast infection every two weeks for a year — ugh), the nurse - midwife at my OBGYN's office made a big point of saying I needed to wash my undies (she assumed, correctly at the
time, no cloth pads or family cloth) in vinegar to kill the yeast — that just washing them normally wouldn't necessarily
do it.
