Social networking has become an integral part of
book promotion, and the more frequently authors» names turn up
on the social networks, the happier they ought to be... unless they turn up in social networks in the wrong context, at the wrong
time.
This free, short (62 pages) Kindle
book is a helpful resource for new authors who have limited
book promotion time and choose to use it
on social media.
I did it for three rounds after the
time it was so beneficial to everyone when it was new and gave away 3000
books on the last round (with much
promotion) but gave up my sales from the other avenues by becoming select.

times, helped
on the
promotion side of things, making sure a
book didn't get forgotten inside a publishing house.

time on promotion with the
books that were traditionally published.
During the first five days, the highest rank reached was # 13
on day 3 of the
promotion and the
book was downloaded roughly 1,100
times during the whole five days.
These points are valid enough, but honestly, when it comes to
promotion, most traditional large publishers focus their
time only
on a handful of
books that they think will go big (or have started that way and will go bigger).
I mean, who doesn't see an appearance
on «Oprah» as the greatest
book promotion opportunity of all
time?
If you spend your
time positively, and let the
books go once they're out of your hands, you'll enjoy your
book promotion campaign far more than if you dwell
on whether your
books might be falling into the wrong hands.
For authors who like the idea of creating online buzz but lack the
time or the contacts,
book publicists who are
on the cutting edge of online
book promotion can help.
With so many
book selections for readers to choose from, and with so many
book promotions going
on at one
time, the competition is stiff.
This actually gives you more
time to do pre-launch
promotion, build
on social media sites for your
book, and make connections for selling your
book later.
Setting out
on a
book promotion journey can be scary, but budgeting out your
time, money, and energy ahead of
time can help you navigate the best options for you and your
book.
And you can even discount your
book on Lulu if you want and change the discount amount at any
time, which is great for
book promotion.
For example, you may wish to run a price discount campaign
on one of your
books at the same
time you advertise
on Facebook and run a push through
book promotion sites.
