While you may thoroughly be enjoying your
time spent
on the
cardio machines if your gym is populated by a number of 20 - something females in tight workout wear, you aren't burning up fat as you should be.
I have been trainning now for a while — around 30 to 40 minutes of weight lifting at my 80 % force + 30 to 40 minutes of
cardio, either street running, eliptic
machine or running inside the gym
on the
machine 5
times a weed.
I teach a couple Boot Camp classes, and a couple yoga classes; I take Bikram once a week; I lift 4
times a week, heavy and / or hard; I walk and do yoga with a couple PT clients and friends and I do at least one plain old
cardio session each week
on a
machine (reading
time).
My gym gets too busy at the
time that I go to get off and
on cardio machines, if there's an open one you want to jump
on it and keep it until your
cardio is done so the back and forth wont work for me.
That's less than half the
time that most people spend
on machines doing long, slow
cardio.
The program is based
on doing
cardio training 3
times per week and can be applied to basically any method or apparatus of
cardio training, be it running, cycling, elliptical
machine, stair
machine, etc..

When people think of
cardio training, however, they tend to instantly picture themselves sweating buckets
on a treadmill in a crowded gym, running
on the same
machine for up to an hour at a
time, possibly even longer still.
I hit the gym for about two months straight doing about an 40 mins of
cardio and 30 minutes of the work out
machines, I gain 12 lbs in that two months and it seemed I was just building muscle
on top of my fat, The fat just wouldnt go away, I know I have trouble eating most of the
time I just cant seem to feed myself at the right
times and now my weight has just got out of hand!

time, or lifting a certain amount of weight.
