I am beginning to appreciate how tough it is to
time outfit shoots.
Not exact matches
It finally warmed up here this weekend, so I was able to
shoot more than one
outfit at a
time!
But finding a couple who I truly enjoy spending
time with makes
shooting outfits one of the most fun parts of my week.
I ended up wearing this
outfit on the third day of my NYC adventures, which included meetings with a PR firm, checking out the Addition Elle pop - up shop, spending some
time at the Universal Standard showroom and being a bit of a tourist by popping over to Radio City Music Hall (where the Mother premiere happened to be going on when we
shot these photos).
I got a new point - and -
shoot for my birthday, which is the camera I've been using for my
outfit photos (most of the
time... a couple of months ago I was still using my iPhone).
My boyfriend and I ventured outside to
shoot outfit photos and ended up taking a stroll along the river (which at the
time was near flood stage).
So many
times I've been editing my own
outfit photos for the blog and thinking to myself that if only people would know what happened before or after those photos were
shot.
Mine was full of more blogger brunches (love those)
outfit shoots, a beach house party in Malibu, a trip to the tailor for my new favorite dress and quality
time with my family.
In the mean
time, I just had a minute to
shoot my
outfit the other day featuring this little flared sleeve number I picked up from Seed.
Just before classes and college life started again, I thought it was
time to
shoot a new
outfit.
I didn't want to be taking
outfit pictures every single day, that would have just been annoying, so across the 11 day holiday i've set aside 3 mornings to
shoot around 3 looks at a
time.
On a side note, I realized I keep doing the same pose every
time I
shoot new
outfits (#oops)... Maybe it's just my «natural» instinct to play with my hair, I don't know, but maybe this can be one of my New Year's Resolutions... switch up poses when
shooting blog pictures Totally normal right?
Despite a streetstyle
shot looking all casual and coincidental, most of the
time an
outfit requires two to five days of creation and advanced planning in my dressing room with sometimes more and sometimes less losing my mind about it.
I think we have never had less
time to
shoot an
outfit than this particular
time.
I've posted sneak peeks from this winter
outfit shoot already 3 - ish
times on Instagram, justbecause I'm so dang obsessed with how the
shoot turned out!
But this
time we somehow overloaded us with events, meetings, shows and girl gang action and, therefore, I don't have as many
outfit shots as I would love to share with you!
It's still crazy to me to think I get to
shoot outfits in Beverly Hills (this park is just a few hundred feet from the famous «Beverly Hills «sign that I see the TMZ Tour Bus stop by every
time I am in the area — maybe they think I'm a celeb:p jk... one day right?
My week - planning became a month - planning, my daily
outfit shoots became 4
shoots per day multiple
times past week, and my fingers are slowly getting tired typing.
Shooting with Joel Barhamand was a million
times more fun than the daily
outfit photos I take of myself (especially because of the added bonus of having so many cool people to chat with for the few hours it took).
How cute is Vivian's
outfit and more importantly... how did you find a
time so that it is empty for such beautiful
shots!!!
It took me two sessions and lots of swearing to
shoot this
outfit, as my remote simply won't respond no matter how many
times I change the batteries or threaten with abandonment.
This
time I was able to rope my little brother into helping me out with this
outfit post - he of course thinks this fashion blogging stuff is a little silly, but nonetheless, he was kind enough to snap a few
shots for me.
Yes, it saves so much
time to
shoot multiple
outfits in one day!
This
outfit was
shot twice due to sudden clouds entourage and gloomy weather the first
time.
Back then I didn't have the
time to photograph my
outfit properly, but I really thought it deserved it, so I promised to make some
time for this
shoot.
It's been awhile since we had a chance to go out and
shoot outfit photos (we have been so focused on our little baby, as he was a newborn he needed 100 % of our
time and energy and now, as he's bigger - he's now 4 months old, he cries less and it's just easier to get things done!)
But some rain free moments gave us enought
time to finally
shoot this
outfit in London Chelsea.
Before a day full of running errands began, I decided to
shoot this look, I figured that this was the perfect
time to
shoot the
outfit I was wearing since we found ourselves surrounded by nothing but white walls.
Before Katie went back to school a few weeks ago I managed to get her to go out with me a couple of
times and
shoot a few
outfits.
Over
time,
outfits, shoes and accessories went flying everywhere and I eventually lost track of what
outfits I had already
shot.
Mario kindly
shot this
outfit for me a couple of weeks ago and I forgot to share it, missing the internet at the
time, I just copied the photos over and left them in a folder.
A lot of the
time I
shoot the products and Mario
shoots the
outfits for me, then I
shoot at events, runways etc, and the occasional blogger.

It was the right decision but I was really glad to find
time this week to
shoot this date night
outfit with my new favorite jacket.
Since my daughter and I have to arrange
time to get together for photos, we often
shoot as many
outfits as we can fit in at a
time.

Though I fear that
time has now officially passed, we were able to get out and
shoot one of my favourite transitional
outfits while the weather allowed.
I really need to get better at
shooting my
outfits as soon as I get them because by the
time I'm sharing my looks here it seems like things are sold out.

When I wear a great
outfit and don't have
time to
shoot it, I normally write it down so I can recreate and
shoot the
outfit later.
Looking back over these
shots, I had such a great
time wearing this
outfit.
Today I want to share with you this look, I was just reading a couple of weeks ago a blog post on how to make monochrome
outfits more interesting, at the
time I'd just
shot these pictures, and it made me realize I wasn't so lost when talking about minimal + monochrome looks
I have a whole folder full of «not quite ready for prime
time»

outfits that you will probably NEVER see!
I am a bit sleep deprived busy these days, so I haven't had the
time, nor I felt good enough, to
shoot outfit photos.
I've been loving my white sneaks for quite a while now and the switch out of the white laces for black struck me as a great way to connect the shoes to the
outfit (even if I had to borrow them from my real trainers for the photos because I forgot to buy new laces in
time for the photo
shoot).
It was so easy getting ready for the evening, I had just enough
time to fit in this
outfit post
shoot and make myself a congratulatory martini.
Heels is a must for me when i do
outfit shots, once in awhile i wear flats but most of the
time i wear heels and i changed to flat shoes after taking pictures.
It seems like I'm all about showing you in how many ways you can wear a denim jacket and double denim... But in reality it's just coincidence, because the
outfits were all
shot at different
times over the past month.
We all had
time to meet, chat about our experiences with fashion blogging, and we were able to select 3
outfits to wear for the
shoot.
