I'm going to repeat what I said earlier... this team actively pursued a policy to undermine the relationship between the
fans and the best player on this team... for all intent and purposes this is a traitorous act... so instead of spending money, which all pundits and
fans agreed was necessary in order to compete at the highest levels, this club was wasting
time and money trying to turn
fans against Sanchez long before the
end of the season (the real concerted effort started around the
time that Wenger benched him for the start of the Liverpool game)... for a team that pertains to be different, like a FAMILY, and constantly questions the tactics of it's opponents, to engage in such a treasonous act is deplorable
I laughed when you said he will likely be the best player in the club he's moving to.I hope Arsenal
fans don't deceive themselves also into thinking this. The thing he has over most wingers in the world is work rate.Apart from that in terms of technique, skill and talent there are quite a lot who can match him there or are even better. He won't have that patience of a club like Arsenal that allows for mistakes and he'll be benched even when he doesn't want it.I did mention that he was world class. The fact that you're overrated doesn't mean you aren't world class.I know all his stats and like you I've watched him since he came here and I can say we are making him look better than he actually is.As for him being irreplaceable I don't think it» sthe first
time we heard that about an Arsenal player leaving and we saw how they eventually
ended up.
The away

time of their lives in that corner of the Clock

We might

It's difficult to blame Ozil for the difficulties he's faced at Arsenal without looking at the big picture... like the
fans, he too was lied to by Wenger... there is no doubt in my mind that he was told by Wenger that he was trying desperately to recreate our earlier success by acquiring players that fit the system he ran when Henry was in his prime... as we know this hasn't happened... in order for Ozl to flourish he needs some speed up front, forwards that can make intelligent runs, a boss in the midfield to compensate for his obvious defensive liabilities and defenders who can transition from defence to offence quickly and efficiently... much like he had in Real and with the German National squad... unfortunately he
ended up on a squad that has a striker who plays with his back to goal, very few intelligent runs into the box, minus Sanchez, no one to take pressure off him in the midfield, once Cazorla was injured, average defensive midfielders around him, which simply highlighted his lacking defensive qualities and defenders who lack the necessary cutting edge when it comes to transitional passing... instead of blaming Ozil, which is simply too easy, especially considering his mopey disposition, we should be asking ownership and / or Wenger why they brought him in if they didn't intend on doing what was necessary to get the best from him... can you imagine Ozil playing with the likes of Henry, Viera, Petit and Pires, it would be incredibly to watch and even more difficult to stop... so the only thing different between his experiences in Real and with the German team versus his
time at Arsenal are the players around him and we all know who is in charge of making those decisions, the Grinch who stole soccer
well i get where you come from but i wouldnt call it less passionate but more practical, i just do nt like to be butthurt ^ ^ i am
fan of arsenal to enjoy the
time i spend on football but if it
ends in failures i try to get over its and be constructive about it, and i am not a
fan of people who cant control their anger pains and have to project their frustrations onto the people who could be held responsible but not in this scale, in my opinion of the society humans should be able to control their emotions a bit and never stoop as low as to be abusive and i do think that a lot of comments on justarsenal were abusive and sorry but i do nt think of it as passionate an extreme example would be ultras you could call them muuuuch more passionate than me but in my opinion they are just scum of football, but of course i do nt want to compare the JA - commenters to ultras xD i just tried to illustrate my opinion ^ ^
Of course it would be silly to suggest that winning any game, cup or otherwise, isn't good for the club, but let's remember just how problematic FA Cup success has been for this club... I'm certainly not going to suggest I didn't enjoy seeing Arsenal win, I'm a
fan of this club first and foremost, but how bad are things when you find yourself secretly wishing that your own team lost so that just maybe real change would finally come... I resent this team for even making me feel such thoughts and it's going to take a lot of effort on their part to earn my trust again... this club has treated the
fans so poorly that it has created an incredibly fragile and toxic environment, so much so that a «what have you done for me lately» mentality has emerged...
fans rise and fall depending on the results of each game because we don't have faith in those in charge to make the necessary changes to personnel and tactics... each
time we win many
fans attack any dissenting voices and make unrealistic claims about the players, the manager and the potential for unprecedented success... every
time we lose the boo - birds run rampant, calling for heads to roll and predicting the worst... regardless of what side you fall on, it's not your fault, both sides are simply overcompensating for the horrible state of affairs that have been percolating for several years... it's hard to take the long view when those in charge have lied incessantly and refuse to take any responsibilities for their own actions... in the
end, we are trapped by the same catch - 22 that ManU faced upon Fergie's exit... less fearful of maintaining the status quo than facing the unknown, which was validated, wrongly or rightly, by witnessing the difficulties they have faced during this transitory period... to be honest, the thing that scares me most is that this team has never prepared whatsoever for this eventuality, which considering our frugal nature and the way we have shunned many of our most revered former players is more than a little disconcerting
Meant to say at the
end, we need to provide service to Lacazette and he will score goals, he may need a bit of
time to adapt so we
fans need to relax a bit and not make kneejerk twitter posts!
It really baffles me sometimes how
fans like you portray Wenger and at the
end I feel the day ya'all forget that Wenger is an employee of Arsenal and he's now bigger than the club, yes he's a legend and he deserves a statue but at the same
time that is Arsenal's downfall because Wenger has too much control over the club and he shouldn't be allowed to make some decisions on like players to buy or the amount of money to spend, he has to just focus on football and only football alone.
Fans of Wenger will now no doubt churn out the same drivel like they do every season: In Wenger we trust, he needs to given
time, and my favourite — from Wenger himself — «judge me at the
end of season».
I had some

They simply wanted to sell enough merchandise and l am sure they did that, they also know by the

The game also saw the debut of young forward Kazaiah Sterling, a player who

That will excite some Arsenal
fans but as Wenger would have to
end his reign with a year of his contract still to run for this to work out, it does not look like the
timing will be right, while the Bundesliga giants might want him to stay on as well.
There's me thinking go get mahrez not to replace Sanchez or ozil but strengthen that's difference we're weak team but have say been unlucky last few games bar forest we need strip from top to
end wenger is on borrowed
time we arsenal
fans are in hell rite now heaven is coming but only when wenger decides sad but true
I know he's not universally popular with Arsenal
fans but he is a proven winner whose teams play the right way and his
time appears to be coming to an
end at the Emirates.
Good evening mate, agree with everything you say I feel so sad and worried about where Wenger is taking the club this season and while it was great fun mocking Man U
fans last season we are going to
end up in a similar position this
time around unless Ivan and stan grow some balls and sack our old deluded stubborn manager
If we are still abusive between now and the
end of his
time here (a matter of weeks now) then my point regarding the club having acquired a lot of classless
fans along the way stands.
Up front we have a few world - class players surrounded by some serious pretenders... Sanchez is by far the most accomplished player in our attack but the controversy surrounding his contractual mishandling could see him go before the window closes or most definitely by season's
end... obviously a mistake by both parties involved, as Sanchez's exploits have never been more on display than in North London, but the club's irresponsible wage structure and lack of real intent have been the real undoing in this mess... Lacazette, who I think has some world - class skills as a front man, will only be as good as the players and system around him, which is troubling due to our current roster and Wenger's love of sideways passing... Walcott should have been sold years ago, enough said, and Welbeck should never have been brought in from the get - go... both of these players have suffered numerous injuries over their respective careers and neither are good enough to overcome such difficulties: not to mention, they both are below average first - touch players, which should be the baseline test for any player coming to a Wenger - led Arsenal team... Perez should have been played wide left or never purchased at all; what a huge waste of
time and money, which is ridiculous considering our penny pinching ways and the fact that
fans had been clamoring for a real striker for years... finally Giroud, the fact that he stills wears the jersey is a direct indictment of this club's failure to get things right... this isn't necessarily an attack on Giroud because I think he has some highly valued skills, but not for a team that has struggled to take their sideways soccer to the next level, as his presence slows their game even more, combined with our average, at best, finishing skills... far too often those in charge have either settled or chosen half - measures and ultimately it is us that suffer because no matter what happens Wenger, Gazidis and Kroenke will always make more money whereas we will always be the ones paying for their mistakes... so every
time someone suggests we should just shut - up and support the team just think of all the sacrifices you've made along the way and simply reply... f *** off
You may laugh @ liverpool but even with a goal down their
fans never once chirped Rodgers but was cheering their team on till thee
end keep that in mind next
time you go @ it with AW and not get the teams spirits lifted a goal or two down... Its a shame for a true Gunner to turn their back on ARSENAL / ARSENE like that.
It would ultimately
end Wenger's fantastic record of qualifying for the Champions League in every season that he has been in charge — something that some
fans would argue has kept him in a job at Arsenal in recent years — and while it may be caused by a technicality, it would add more fuel to the fire of suggestion that Wenger's
time at the club is finished.
I mean it's a scrimmage, at the
end of the day it's for the
fans and we just want to kind of make it fun for them and make some crazy plays at the same
time that we probably wouldn't do in a real game.
I hope Welbeck proves the doubters wrong and shows he has a lot to offer Arsenal. One thing for sure he gives 100 % every
time he plays and at the
end of the day that's what we
fans are looking for.
I'm so sick of people telling those of us who are disgruntled
fans to relax and give this club
time to correct itself... for anyone who believes that taking a wait - and - see approach is appropriate at this juncture they should take a good long look at themselves in the mirror because they are a big part of the problem... no other «big» club's
fans would stand for this shit for nearly as long as we have... think about it, we've witnessed a changing of the guard at every major club in England, Spain, France and Germany in the last several years because those «big» clubs failed to live up to expectations (Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern, PSG, Chelsea, ManU, ManCity etc...)... for some reason, many
fans have become as fragile as our current manager, believing that there couldn't possibly be a suitable replacement, even though everyone of these clubs have found multiple replacements and still achieved far more than our club... this mindset has been created by an organization that has been milking it's
fans, telling countless lies (no world class players available) and lowering expectations every since they rolled out the biggest lie of all: that we couldn't spend because of the new stadium but once it was paid off we could compete with any team in the world... this organization is rotting from the inside out and if we don't demand that those in charge put soccer first this despicable behaviour won't
end with Wenger's ridiculous 2 year contract... I think the real fear isn't that a suitable replacement doesn't exist, but that this organization is so money hungry and poorly mismanaged that we will sink even lower by choosing our next coach the same way they choose our players, on the cheap... even so, we need to see what mustache will do if left to his own devices so he will have to show his true colours... only then can we purge this club and start anew
His actions have left Arsenal
fans frustrated and whilst much of the
fan base remains split on whether he should
end his
time with Arsenal this season, it seems as if the board may already be planning for life after Arsene.
Some Arsenal
fans have not been happy with the club for keeping Arsene Wenger as our manager for some
time now and even though the pressure may have been taken off the Frenchman by the team
ending the long trophy drought and then backing it up with back to back FA cup wins at Wembley, the failure so far this season to take advantage of the struggles of the Premier League big boys has brought it all back with a bang.
To be perfectly honest it would be a hard enough thing for we Arsenal
fans to see our star striker Alexis Sanchez call
time on his career as an Arsenal player at the
end of this season, but it would be nigh on imp [ossible to take if we let him go to one of our Premier League rivals, which is why the Arsenal board are determined to not let that happen according to the Daily Mail.
As Arsene wisely commented at the
time — the
fans should wait till the
end of the season to draw conclusions about the team and managers performance.
Some
fans treatment of Iwobi has been shocking in the extreme and u nustifiable. He is a very talented young player who is still learning his trade. He lacks composure in the business
end of the pitch but he has the potential to be a fine box to box midfielder. The fact that Arsenal continue to ship goals has precious little to do with Iwobi. In this connection the fault lies with our experienced players like Cech, Mustafi and last but not least Xhaka. It's
time for
fans to get behind Iwobi who, despite his failings gives 100 % every match.
In other news, our team seems to be rounding nicely into form, with a productive off - season and several new additions already settling in, there seems to be a renewed sense of confidence in the air... our well - oiled machine has conducted business again early this year, so we can just sit back, kick our feet up and watch all those other suckers scramble to make panic moves in the 11th hour... of course, we need to tie up a few loose
ends but our team of savvy negotiators, under the tutelage of our faithful leader, will perform their usual magic with ample
time to spare... I have to laugh when I look around the soccer world and see all those teams look upon us with envy and scorn as they struggle to mimic our seemingly infallible business model... thank goodness the powers that be had the foresight and fortitude to resist the temptations of the modern football era... instead of listening to all the experts and simply taking the easy way out by making the necessary improvements on the field and in the front office, we chose the path never traveled... we are truly pioneers in our field... sometimes you just have to have faith in the people that have always conducted themselves in a respectful and honest fashion... most
fans aren't so fortunate, they will never know what it's like to follow a team that treats everyone in and around the club as if they were an extended member of the family... all for one I say... so when you wake up this morning, please try not to gloat when you see rival
fans pacing back and forth waiting for their respective teams to pull the usual panic buys, just say nothing and be thankful that it isn't you... like I've always said, this is why you stay the course... this is when the real benefits of having someone in charge for over 2 decades really pays off... have a great day fellow Gunners
The difference this
time is that the Gunners do not look likely to even achieve a top - four finish and the number of
fans calling for Wenger's head are greater than ever before, and with the boss out of contract at the
end of the season, the likelihood of Wenger quitting is also stronger than ever before.
Because it's my never -
ending mission to make the Dodgers and their
fans more comfortable, it's
time to look at the moves the Dodgers made and see if they really are worse, at least on paper.
I get the criticisms, I truly do, but a lot of
fans blindly deny the fact that he does score goals for us, and highlight his drought at the
end of season as though that was the story of his season with us, neglecting the fact that before that he was scoring near on a goal a game in a
time where we desperately needed it to secure CL football when it was in no way guaranteed..
So after some consideration I have decided that Wenger wasn't lying after all, and was actually talking about the Bayern Munich
fans, who were the only ones left at the
end, and they had a «great
time»!
I view Sir Keswick statement on the debate of Le Prof leaving Arsenal at the
end of this season as a conditional statement to appease the Wenger Out Arsenal
fans to be calm as the Arsenal board who for his prudent financial management skill in managing the club finances doesn't want him to go now to try to buy
time for him to use Arsenal success of a win of the FA Cup and a 4th place table finish this season as a ploy to convince the Wenger Out Arsenal
fans he can still be kept at the club as manager for another 2 — 3 years to achieve the titles they've been craving after in the next 2 — 3 season..
why was Sanchez truly playing... no one believes he was too injured to play to start the season, and some like myself would go as far to suggest he wasn't injured at all... so why play him... they can't say it was to appease the
fans because when was that ever a factor at this club except when «panic buys» were in the offing... I believe that this was to give Arsenal a little leverage when it comes to negotiating his transfer... just imagine their horrible bargaining position if Sanchez never saw the field before the deadline then heading back to South America and played for Chile... regardless of the facts, this was sadly again another example of a team putting business ahead of fielding a team with the greatest chance to secure 3 points... of course, some will say that Sanchez is, or was, our best player, so obviously he's a no - brainer to start, but those who really watch the game know that his heart hasn't been truly in it for quite some
time... even at the
end of last season you could see a definitive difference between the Sanchez who played for Chile and the one that played for Arsenal... that being said, 70 % of Sanchez is still better than a 100 % of the vast majority of our remaining roster... shame on you Arsene and shame on you too Sanchez for that telling smirk... I've supported your attempt to push this squad to the next level but don't pretend for a second that you didn't know you were being watched... don't lower your standards or you'll
end up like this club, on the outside looking in
I want him out as much as the next
fan asap but i want Arsenal to do well tonight as Wengers
time is coming to an
end soon..
Michael Carrick was sat on the substitute's bench for today's match, and with it being confirmed by the player himself (as per the Metro) that he will be retiring at the
end of the season, this may be a sight that Red Devils
fans may only see a few more
times before the player finally hangs up his boots.
Normal
fans wanted Wenger out for some
time now, but it's you AKBs giving Wenger that ultimatum to say «judge me at the
end of the season» knowing perfectly well people will be waiting for that and will already be late to plan for any replacement..
I'm not a
fan of Evans but he can do the job, he ticks the boxes and he gives us
time while trying to fight for a top 4 spot at the
end of this season.
Mesut Ozil is Arsenal's record signing of all
time, and despite his new - found consistency towards the
end of last season, he still hasn't convinced all of the
fans that he was worth his massive transfer fee, so I am sure there are some that think that we should allow the rumoured interest from Juventus to regain at least most of the cash we splashed out on the German international.
