I'm going to repeat what I said earlier... this team actively pursued a policy to undermine the relationship between the fans and the best player on this team... for all intent and purposes this is a traitorous act... so instead of spending money, which all pundits and fans agreed was necessary in order to compete at the highest levels, this club was wasting
time and money trying to turn fans against Sanchez long before the end of the season (the real concerted effort started around the
time that Wenger benched him for the start of the Liverpool
game)... for a team that pertains to be different, like a FAMILY, and constantly questions the
tactics of it's opponents, to engage in such a treasonous act is deplorable
I don't hate him as a person as ultimately I think he is a decent guy but I do think over a long
time his errors in team selection,
tactics as shown in the first 3
games of this season and his inability to motivate lead me to the conclusion that no matter what team he was given they would not do as well as if another manager was in charge.
Some people are acting as if its the first
time they have seen Wenger's team selection and non existent
tactics /
game plan.
I'm getting annoyed that people fail to notice the positive he did recently (he started spending money, keep the team in tact, getting a new physio in, try to win
game ugly when result is getting bad) while it is very fair points that he made very wrong judgement in not getting enough defensive cover, and his players are naive at
time in term of
tactics.
We will have a seriously good line up with everyone back and I do hope that Wenger gets his finger out and starts to rotate the team and show some grasp of
tactics, even bringing some of the youth players through for some
game time if a
game is safe.
Bad Team selection, Undermining opposition, not changing
tactics, Failure to give more
game times to Players like Perez.
Of course it would be silly to suggest that winning any
game, cup or otherwise, isn't good for the club, but let's remember just how problematic FA Cup success has been for this club... I'm certainly not going to suggest I didn't enjoy seeing Arsenal win, I'm a fan of this club first and foremost, but how bad are things when you find yourself secretly wishing that your own team lost so that just maybe real change would finally come... I resent this team for even making me feel such thoughts and it's going to take a lot of effort on their part to earn my trust again... this club has treated the fans so poorly that it has created an incredibly fragile and toxic environment, so much so that a «what have you done for me lately» mentality has emerged... fans rise and fall depending on the results of each
game because we don't have faith in those in charge to make the necessary changes to personnel and
tactics... each
time we win many fans attack any dissenting voices and make unrealistic claims about the players, the manager and the potential for unprecedented success... every
time we lose the boo - birds run rampant, calling for heads to roll and predicting the worst... regardless of what side you fall on, it's not your fault, both sides are simply overcompensating for the horrible state of affairs that have been percolating for several years... it's hard to take the long view when those in charge have lied incessantly and refuse to take any responsibilities for their own actions... in the end, we are trapped by the same catch - 22 that ManU faced upon Fergie's exit... less fearful of maintaining the status quo than facing the unknown, which was validated, wrongly or rightly, by witnessing the difficulties they have faced during this transitory period... to be honest, the thing that scares me most is that this team has never prepared whatsoever for this eventuality, which considering our frugal nature and the way we have shunned many of our most revered former players is more than a little disconcerting
Useless article, klopp just fell into the same injury mess as wenger, now take a look at arsenal, and take another look at dortmund, tell me who you want for a coach, wenger can still take us there, hard
times come only to make us stronger, i want you to take your banners to the
game to stir up the much needed pressure on the board and wenger, i know wenger won't be sacked but it would go a long way like pardews case, imagine a new coach bringing his own new style and
tactics that might take
time t master, rethink boys, u know what happened to barca when guardiola left, we don't want to do a porchettino, so think twice gooners and don't be carried away by the media or stupidity
Personally, I would just like AW and the players to say they fezzed up, and that they where training hard to put it right coz they have fezzed up too many
times over the last few
games, and yes that includes AW with his
tactics and subs coz they have been wrong.
I do nt blame our manager for this loss, he got his
tactics spot on and a more clinical team may have this
game wrap up by half
time.
When the SPUDS had us against the ropes and were pushing forward was the
time to get creative, change
tactics and bring players with new ideas i.e TR7 BUT then Le Prof subs our best player, true it was not Cazorlas best
game, but by far was not as bad as RAMBO....
If our manager spent more
time focussing on the specific threats posed by the opposition, taking into account their likely strategy, and used proper
tactics and appropriate team selection that specifically address the circumstances of each
game, then we wouldn't be so easy to beat, and might start challenging to be Premier League champions once again.
Its honestly a waste of
time to jump at different players each
game when it usually comes down to Wenger
tactics and horrible decision making.
To be fair he got his
tactics spot on, but let's take one
game at a
time and not get our hopes up: As an Arsenal fan we should be used to disappointment unfortunately.
however, their defensive aspect of the
game has remained untested most of the
time considering that la liga teams always adopt the defensive
tactics rather than offensive ones against barca.
its wengers
tactics, subs
timing and players selection that will potentially kill.the
game and alllow utd to win
I understand what you're saying bounty hunter, but I feel like the week prior to big
games should be enough
time to at least tweak our formation slightly or employ a certain
tactic, whether it's counter attack with less possession or playing with two strikers up top instead of the lone striker, I would hope that players at the level required for arsenal would be able to adjust to this as it seems I tend to hear other teams coming away from big wins uttering phrases like «we worked on the manager's ideas this week and executed them well», I cant remember our players saying this for a while.
We don't know how to bloody drive, let alone park the bus, his
game is about possession he has know idea on
tactics to beat a team, he can't substitute when it's
time and says resting players like Chec Monreal who aren't that tired he should rest Ozil Sanches Gazola because they do more running, then in 60th
time for change but he waits till 80th.
Yes we are still short of a Patrick Viera type of defensive midfielder but still, we have got it right in every other area and if we can keep making the right selections for every
game and manage to get our
tactics right, we will be very proud of this team by the
time the season comes to an end.
if you watch arsenal place I see so much space and no runs no runs at all only when in the box if you watch Leicester they are always makeing runs all over the place that's how you score goals against a team like Southampton they controlled the
game it was not unlucky just like chelsea can do control the
game and won arsenal players don't believe they can win the title the players in that team play without heart you know why because Im sure wenger tells them becareful we don't need anymore Injurys what kind of mentality is that also I will pick out Ramsey he is playing like a player who is leaveing the club he and flamini just don't work Ramsey is not playing good at all wenger can blame make excuses but truth is he is the manager he make the
tactics and he gets it wrong all the
time giroud has no pace none bench him against some teams and play pure pace make runs ox Walcott but they don't Walcott has lost it his pace has gone its clear or he fears I jury how if a player is fit put your all in forget injury if you get Injured then so be it but if your fit and your Walcott run put yourself about wenger should leave because he.
And to be fair, that
tactic has been a very useful one for us in recent
times as shown to such devastating effect when Manchester United came to the Emirates about a month ago and the
game was over after 20 minutes following a three goal blitz.
I absolutely appreciate everything that Arsene has done for the club, but I would agree that at this point, his inability to be flexible at key moments in
time —
tactics prior to a
game,
tactics during a
game, player rotation, substitutions in key area, accurate purchases at key areas, team selection, etc. — continues to hold us back.
It also came at a
time, where it was clear, we yet again were not anywhere near challenging for the PL title, and the reasons for not challenging seemed to be exactly the same as in the years before; losing most
games against the other top clubs, and generally using
tactics, where many opponents relatively score easily, especially if they are a bit physical and determined.
So in the Leicester
game you thought Wenger got the
tactics and sub
timings spot on then?
Well im not in a wonderland he has his failings as we all do and great teams find a way to win good teams sit where we are 6 -5-4 but thats besides the point and it would be nice if your aunty had bolocks cause then we d be second but ive watched the
games were an offensive team most the
time although were terrible in the pissing rain but for the most part the
game plans have worked weve created chances quality scoring chances one after the other problem is for me the finishing unless we sit back with 9 man behind the ball or ten when you push forward you will give up a goal if you lousy forwards fail to finish the set ups have been there this year but our strikers have failed to kill the
games if we create quality chances and grab leads in the first 60 minutes like we have for the most part and in those
games those
games should of been killed even if we give a goal or two alongside the strategy but we failed to hit multiple should be goals we tried laca we'll see abou auba although hes a bit lazy so far but we'll see but we've lacked that quality in front goal a player the chances have been there im looking at the failure of the strikers and maybe that is his fault but monreal has scored as many goals recently as our strikers and thats sad our defenders or a midfielder will score and our stikers cant tally one in th first 60 mins of a
game alongside them then were tired for last 40 give them hope there still only down one and we rue our missed chances while they push thats where iv been frustrated with this season not the
tactics but the finishing
Bayern will be very well prepared as they already know exactly what formation,
tactics,
time of substitutions, and team selection, that will be used by Wenger, as he does the same thing EVERY
GAME!
Wenger continually complains about refs allowing
time - wasting
tactics and slowing the
game down, but how often does the ref have to leave the field to deal with Wenger's rants on the touchline about their decisions?
Pls house I hv a suggestion, can't we use delay
tactics in d front n passing method to slow d
game down at dat crucial
time to keep our lead instead of dis hypertension n riski defensive style?

tactics early if he feels the approach is not working, he plays mind
games well because he said at one

time just last

tactic against John Wall.
The Frenchman does get slated from
time - to -
time for his timid, insipid
tactics in those marquee
games, which — in recent seasons — have found Arsenal wanting.
case 2 jurgen klopp he was always up on the touchline animated (he is a joy to watch just on his own without the team) talking to his players and encouraging them to keep chasing the ball down, and counter attack and he wasn't scared to make changes to the shape or
tactics through out the
game to gain advantage, where he could clued up manager (what wenger was once upon a
time) he is the future of football management, take your bow klopp you earned it last night can only hope when the
time comes we can convince to take us to the future of modern football.
Whilst it can be a useful exercise to use pre-season to experiment with formations and
tactics this should be reserved for the latter stages of a
game once substitutions are made.Crucially Arsenal failed to use
game time to acclimatise the players who are likely to start the Season to one another and to continue to develop a team philosophy which had proven so successful in a crucial
game at the end of last Season.Reverting to type will only have one end product and it won't go down well with the Arsenal faithful.
like I've said before, Wenger is simply stating that Sanchez is staying so that he can regain some leverage when it comes
time to make a deal and to shift the focus back squarely on Sanchez... this is 101
tactics in PR management... the very fact that he even mentioned RVP's name speaks to the utterance arrogance of a man that believes he answers to no one... before you harshly judge Sanchez think carefully about what the ultimate intentions of both parties involved... Sanchez wants to win trophies and get paid generously for his efforts, whereas the club wants to pull the wool over our eyes once again so that we blame the player for wanting the very things we told him we wanted when we brought him in... how many
times do we have to go down this road before we realize the only common factor in each of these scenarios is the club itself... trust me, if we showed any ambition Sanchez's contract demands would be much different... just like in other major sports players will take a «home town» discount if they see those in charge making a truly honest attempt to fight for the highest honours in their respective fields... that being said, if they see a team trying to make disparaging remarks about them in the press and not following through on their promises, they will likely try to make them pay a premium for their services or seek greener pastures... btw if anyone simply looks at the score versus Bayern today and thinks that even for a second that this was a deserved victory, just watch the
game and judge for yourself... actually save yourself the anguish and just know that if it weren't for Cech and Martinez this could have been a repeat of our Champions League flopping or worse
Tactics works well when you understand your opponent tactic by neutralizing it and then have a clout and enough canning to win the encounter MR wenger don't look at his opponents tactics he sets his game plan and stick to it even if he is down and out but seems to always do better after the interval I am looking forward for the new season as we have a good bunch of players in a very demanding league with the likes of Mourinho Klopp Conte Guardiola Ranieri it is going to be very interesting right to the wire with the defending champions leicester and how Conte and Guardiola adapt to the Premier League We the Arsenal start with Liverpool and then go to leicester it is time to role up the sleeves and get into the fight Com on you

Timing of substitutions, putting players in the wrong positions, favouritism, ignoring form, same
tactics for every
game, no plan B, lack of rotation, unable to sell average players because of their huge wages, and so on, and so on.
Problem # 1 He fails to adapt
tactics to specific
games and make the right substitutions at the right
times.
This
game I will remember for a very long
time because of the way Wenger's
tactics came on and what every single player gave.
