time I scrambled to cobble together enough grated Parm to make a proper Caesar dressing I found myself throwing leftover
cubes from various lingering cheese wedges into the
food processor and I knew I had to tell you about this shortcut.
Simply
cube the chicken breast meat, add to the
food processor (no more than one pound at a
time) and pulse until ground.
Now the
food processor is not going to be the answer every
time, especially not when you want neat
cubes of something, but it does a great job with soups, slaws, salads, etc..
Making a large batch of baby
food at once and freezing it in a ice
cube tray or special baby
food containers can help cut down on
food preparation
time.
Best to steam them whole for 15 to 20 minutes until the stem end is done... then puree and add to cereal or yogurt or freeze using the
food cube method for a later
time.
To save
time and energy, cook and puree large batches of veggies all at once and freeze them in ice

Further, there is minimal waste as you use only 1
cube at a
time and will not have to toss away much
food; such as you toss away when using commercial
foods.
Using the ice
cube tray method to store homemade baby
food also allows you to make several trays at a
time so your
time spent in the kitchen making baby
food is decreased.
If using frozen
food cubes, remove each
cube ahead of feeding
time to allow it to thaw.
The secret: a steamer, which cooks the
food in no
time at all (even apples and carrots), a mini
food - processor, and
food cubes.
Foods in the freezer have varying storage
times; it is prudent to use frozen baby
food cubes within 1 (one) month.
If need be, thin your puree
food cube (s) when it comes
time to feed your baby.

food cubes needed and thaw and then reheat.
