Last month, we finally moved into the house and since then, we've been spending our spare
time unpacking boxes.

Every
time I packed them up into
boxes, carried several hundred
boxes of books to the U-Haul, and then unloaded and
unpacked them at our new residence, I cursed my addiction to books.
I'm hoping to find
time to celebrate after we finish
unpacking boxes so we'll so how it goes.

It's
time to
unpack these
boxes and officially make our house a home.
I still have to squeeze in
time to make dinner (sometimes my boyfriend does it, thank goodness), tidy up the house,
unpack the rest of the
boxes (yep, still not completely done), shower, and spend
time with my boyfriend and kitties.
i am still living in
boxes so most of my free
time will be
unpacking but we have a some friends coming to visit (eek!!!)
Our classroom staff will get to tour the building soon and before too long it will be

unpacked minimized by only bringing out one at a
time.
Don't forget to check garage, basement, attic, shed, closets and backyard • If there's
time, it's courteous to sweep or vacuum the empty house — everyone appreciates moving into a clean house • Turn down furnace • Lock windows and doors • Check truck after unloading to make sure nothing has been left behind • Check for residential damage as soon as possible — residential damage claim form must be completed and given to movers on moving day; check furniture and
boxed goods for damage and note together on separate damage claim •
Unpack box of essentials and get comfortable • Don't try to do everything all at once — take breaks, have a snack or quick meal and try to relax!

A few weeks ago I finally took the
time to
unpack most of our
boxes with decor and start sorting through accessories.
It was the first
time they'd ever moved straight in somewhere and were able to
unpack all the
boxes into kitchen cupboards and hang clothess straight into wardrobes.
