I love the smell of coconut flour and how it tastes, however,
each time I use a coconut flour recipe and substitute in coconut milk, I find the batter goes from liquid to solid real quick, and we can't afford to use an excessive amount of milk to fix it!
The second
time I used coconut flour as well, but I added about 1/3 cup of milk (you could use coconut milk) and 2tbs of melted butter (could use coconut oil or perhaps even avocado) and I also added some semisweet chocolate chips.
First
time I used coconut oil instead of the plam shortening and second with softened butter.
This time I used coconut sugar, added 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, did 1/4 cup of peanut butter and 1/4 cup of coconut oil, and lastly added an additional 4 tablespoons of milk to have a creamier cookie dough which resulted in AMAZING cookies!

times using coconut sugar and a vegan egg, so it got me thinking... what if I substituted one cup of dates for the one cup of sugar?

My skin gets so dried out during the winter and after spending a lot of time out in the cold, there have been
times I used coconut oil just to find any relief knowing I'd break out.
Compared to the first
time I used coconut flour, the dough actually turned out pretty okay.
I've made this banana bread twice now, the first
time I used coconut flour, and the bread barely ros at all.

By the way, every
time I make the pancake recipe they stick, even
using butter and
coconut oil.

used coconut flour and next
time I'll leave out the maple syrup because they were too sweet for me, I only
used 1 1/2 tbs... amaze balls!!
I might try
using 400 ml stock next
time instead of
coconut milk, and a few more chickpeas, but it was enjoyed very much, thanks for the recipe

coconut oil next
time too.
Hi Ella, I've just had this for breakfast today for the first
time (I added fresh raspberries, toasted
coconut flakes & a spoonful of granola for crunch); very moreish & decadent!!!! Next
time I would
use less chia sedes (maybe just 1 teasp) as I feel overfull (I can almost feel them expanding in my tum!!!)
Add a teaspoon of
coconut oil to a non-stick frying pan on medium heat, wait until it's hot and then
use a large spoon to dollop the fritters into the pan and flat them out into rounds (depending on the size of the pan, you should be able to fit between three and five of them each
time).
In regards to
using coconut oil as a face moisturiser, I've heard many people who said that it has been the best thing ever to
use on their faces, but at the same
time there are heaps that said it made them broke out (with acne) like crazy.
I have been buying my organic extra virgin
coconut oil online in 1 gallon pail because I
use it all the
time for cooking, baking & beauty care along with other goodies like hemp seeds, organic almonds, etc..
Well I hope it's not too late yo post on here (I realise this post was written some
time ago now) but sometimes after showering and
using coconut oil, if I want that little bit of extra hydration I
use the Kora Organics body moisturiser on my décolleté and perhaps a bit on my skins too.
The second
time I soaked the dates in boiling water to soften them and then I just
used a blender stick to blend the dates with sweet potato and maple syrup (much easier than a processor) I also made a budget version and
used regular cocoa powder, 1/2 honey 1/2 maple syrup, no pinenuts - just 1/2 cup of
coconut flour and 1/2 cornflour, I also added chopped walnuts.
Sometimes I eat it right out of the jar as a replacement for granola, other
times I stir it up with some unsweetened almond milk and eat it like oatmeal, and other
times I add it to the top of some
coconut yogurt and
use it just like I would granola.
I
use olive oil and
coconut oil all the
time, but I think it would be fun to try the sunflower oil because it has such a high smoking point!
The first
time around, no one
used the bathroom for the first week, whereas most of us have
used the bathroom every day, I think partly because of the
coconut melts (also known as constipation candies!).
Whilst I don't
use a lot of sugar I don't actively avoid it either (although I
use coconut sugar most of the
time) but I shall give this a try when I next do some baking, or maybe in my next batch of iced tea!
Coconut milk is my preferred dairy alternative, which I
use sometimes for cooking, or at other
times when we have done elimination diets and are avoiding dairy.
NOTE: Because the
coconut oil will harden, you will have to heat the mixture each
time you want to
use it.
